There is nothing more fiat than crypto. Not even ink and paper. And what the Bit herd has not figured out is the World bankers, who have trillions to buy and control anything, have spent the last 5 years buying and creating crypto currencies. So the creepy people you are trying to get away from are turning you cashless just as planned. The creepy world bankers could not be happier now that the Bit herd is going cashless instead of buying hard in hand PM assets. They want total control in the end and you cannot use your crypto without their internet. Fees are already going sky high . More proof the Big ugly bankers are gaining control.
I have the same beliefs.not sure that they do not already control this site,and it is just another tool that they are using to gather and sort...

Often seems to be you can have like 10+ upvotes which end up worth $0.01 and another has 2 votes worth $4+... so is it really fairer than something like reddit where everyone has equal say?

@runaway-slave I thought the same thing. That the world banks have been trying to get the world to go cashless for a while now. With the rise of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies and several countries and companies acknowledging it as having transactional value, the world will soon be accepting it everywhere. But cpytos hold no real value, without a commodity to back it up, such as gold or silver, it is nothing but a fiat currency.
Yea and it amazes me how many in the Bit herd tell me Bitcoin is better than fiat paper like Bitcoin is backed by something.

A decentralized communications network is not a bad thing. Cryptocurrency isn't necessarily a bad thing. Decoupling traditional means of control of money (banks) from our money is a good thing. However, those banksters aren't going to let their current wealth vanish without taking action to preserve their wealth.
Cryptocurrencies are no less vulnerable to manipulation than any other store of value you can imagine. If you can manipulate the price of silver, a solid material you can hold in your hand, how much easier is it to manipulate data.
Those that think a decentralized network is somehow manipulation proof just don't understand the ability of big data to penetrate obscurity by complexity, nor the immense gulf in capability between the real possessor's of the greatest fortunes in the world and the rest of us.
It might even be trivial for such actors to just buy the entire network such cryptos are based on, if they don't already own most of it.
Due diligence, diversification, and hard work cannot be substituted for. No secret code, dispersal of nodes, or white papers can replace them, and if you aren't employing them in selecting your investments, you're not investing, you're gambling.
