Sogaya-kingdom was one of six Gaya-kingdom group, and established in A.d.42 and lasts until A.d.562.
This kingdom was established the nation on this area and Goseung-gun was the capital of this kingdom(which is located in southern part of Korea).
I would like to introduce you the heritage of Sogaya kingdom.
Ancient tombs of kings.
There are 7 tombs in this territory, 6 small tombs are located around 1 big tomb.
The tombs are gathered together and there's a walking track between tombs for the people who want to walking on the ancient tombs.
I let Ye-lin and woojin run as much as they want.
They ran together the tombs two times for 30 minutes looks like Forrest gump.
After their running, we went to the museum which is located next to the tombs.
The museum describe people's life and their trade with other kingdoms and display plenty of household goods regarding Gaya-kingdom.
And this museum introduce recent famous people born in this area too.
After look at this pottery, i could recognized that the design of the museum is based on this pottery.
In the middle of the museum, we can find the mannequin horse soldier with strong armor. Compared with pottery and stone knife at this time, this soldier is looks a false verification for the history.
Actually, the history and explanation is not their business. They repeatedly enjoyed the game to throw the bow on the pottery while i studying about the museum.
We enjoyed to read some books together in small but very nice book cafe on the 1st floor.
Do you know independence activist monk Baek cho-wol?
At the end of visiting, I introduce a independence activist who is born in Goseong.
Even he is not a famous independence activist, I hope many Korean remember his works for the independence until his death because of torture killing in the prison..
Because of his effort to protect our country against Japanese imperialism, we could keep the freedom and enjoy our life as a Korean.
