Chao Phraya River with background of Wan arun Temple
HI, Steemians, how are you ? Let me share an interesting experience when I make a visit at the wan arun temple on the banks of the chao Phraya river, Bangkok, Thailand a year ago .
Wan Arun is also called the temple of dawn. This temple is a Buddhist temple located in Bangkok's Yai district, Bangkok, on the west bank of the Chao Phraya river.
Quoted from wikipedia, Wat Arun's long name is Wat Arunratchawararam Ratchaworamavihara.
Wat Arun was built during the Ayutthaya kingdom, known as Wat Makok. After King Rama II & King Rama IV came to power, Wat Makok was later renamed Wat Arun as it is now.
From the Chao Phraya River, Wat Arun looks magnificent and looks beautiful. When dusk and sunrise, the beauty of Wat Arun is unmatched. Many moments can be immortalized at these two times. Enjoying a building with a height of about 70 meters, can give a sense of fun, because Wat Arun is famous as "Temple of Dawn", a beautiful temple or temple when sunset.
Around Wat Arun, there is a traditional Thai clothes rental place, and can be used for photo-taking photos. as shown in my photo below
I was wearing traditional Thai dress
In Wat Arun complex, there are several temples around Wat Arun, the building is actually a place of worship of Buddha. Meanwhile, the ideal time to visit is around the afternoon before closing, in addition to not hot, tourists can also capture Wat Arun as dusk arrives.
To reach wan arun we can use the boat by crossng the river chao phraya. in the complex wan arun many sold a variety of interesting souvenirs. And for tourists from Indonesia, do not worry, because many sellers there who can speak Indonesian and we also may use Rupiah as a means of payment transactions. but we must be good at bargaining, because the possibility of the price has been raised earlier.
