WHAT IF : Next Card Ability Design

Howdy y'all, managed to got some time and listen to @thepeoplesguild recent podcast episode and was getting some inspiration from it. While this week I could only manage to think only a single ability, am hoping this post will inspire "SOME" people in the near distance future.

The ability design will be focusing towards recycle CHAOS Legion cards to give another usage in the near distance future. Since this week challenge is on DOMINION set as replacement for future Gladiator as quoted by them

The DOMINION set would replace the Gladiator cards in guild brawls (and only guild brawls), and this challenge is your chance to help shape how these new monsters would impact gameplay. These abilities will focus on team-wide benefits, setting them apart from the self-focused Bloodlust ability of the Gladius cards.

Unfortunately this ability is a self-focused like "BLOODLUST" of Gladius cards as it depends on certain CHAOS Legion ability and also staking require to activate it. The name of this ability shall be "CL:ANEW", the method of staking is same as Land and Wagon.


SUMMARY

Ability : CL:ANEW - ( sub ability choice DEATHBLOW or RECHARGE )
Condition 1 : Stake X+1 units with same ability to create the SUb ability where X is unit color
Condition 1.2 : If unit is either Neutral or DRagon Stake 5
Condition 2 : Staked Units Won't be available for Battle, Rent and etc
Example : To Gain Sub ability DEATHBLOW for Red unit ( stake DJINN APPRENTICE and zyvax-vuul )
Note : If units staked is lower level and does not hve Sub ability require, it will be NULL

INTRODUCTION

Base on my understanding of how recent abilities created, it's pretty obvious some abilities appears on certain cards at certain sets. An example below:

Card_ability_repair.png REPAIR : An ability early seen in cards like CHINMEY WALLSTOP (Gladius) and ARMORSMITH (Promo).

ability_sneak.png SNEAK : Seen early as ALPHA/BETA sets with cards like KOBOLD MINER , SABRE SHARK & ORELLA ABADON ( Gladius ).

For CL:AnEW ability, am focusing towards ability of CHAOS legion which is only available in the set and not other ( as far as I Know ), after looking around I have determine 2 ability thats ONLY be seen in CHAOS legion set as shown below.

ability_deathblow.png DEATHBLOW : Seen only in CHAOS set with cards like DHAMPIR STALKER . Will Assume CHAOS Deathblow is TRUE.

ability_recharge.png RECHARGE : Seen only in CHAOS set with cards like ifrit-rising . Will Assume CHAOS Recharge is TRUE.


APPLYING CL:ANEW

This part I have not gave much thought but will try give some idea by using examples from #TPGCHALLENGE

Water (NO CL:ANEW): Drown – Slows the 1st opponent’s unit by 1 speed for 1 round.
WATER ( CL:ANEW - DEATHBLOW) : Drown - Slows the opponent’s entire team by 1 speed for 1 round after the Domineer kills an enemy.
WATER ( CL:ANEW - RECHARGE) : Drown - (Slows the opponent’s entire team by 1 speed for 1 round) x 3

Earth (NO CL:ANEW): Barkskin – After a kill, this unit gains +1 armor
EARTH ( CL:ANEW - DEATHBLOW) : Barkskin - After a kill, the entire team gains +1 armor
EARTH ( CL:ANEW - RECHARGE) : Barkskin - (After a kill, the entire team gains +1 armor for 1 rounds) x 3

Fire ( NO CL:ANEW): Combustion – After a kill, this unit gains +1 attack
FIRE ( CL:ANEW - DEATHBLOW ) : Combustion - After a kill, all allied monsters receive +1 attack
FIRE ( CL:ANEW - RECHARGE ) : (Combustion - After a kill, all allied monsters receive +1 attack for 1 rounds) x 3

Death ( NO CL:ANEW) : Raincid - Give a poison to random enemy
DEATH ( CL:ANEW - DEATHBLOW) : Raincid - Give a poison to random enemy, if it's life is red after poison ; kill it instead
DEATH ( CL:ANEW - RECHARGE ) : (Raincid - GIve poison to all unit) x 3

Life ( No CL:ANew) : Lifezuq - : Heal 1 life to unit in 1st postion
LIFE ( CL:ANEW - DEATHBLOW ) : Lifezug - Once per game, If a unit life is red after damage is done; AUTOHEAL to max.
LIFE ( CL:ANEW- RECHARGE) : Lifezug - (Heal 1 life to all unit) x 3

Dragon ( No CL:ANew) : Dominance – After a kill, this unit gains +1 speed and +1 health
DRAGON ( CL:ANEW - DEATHBLOW) Dominance – After a kill, your team gains +1 speed and +1 health
DRAGON ( CL:ANEW - RECHARGE) Dominance – (Your team gains +1 speed and +1 health for 1 round) x 3
