Today for me it's one of my favorite bands. Listening to any of the older Offspring songs (pre Americana album) always seems to make me feel happy. It reminds me of my childhood when life was so much simpler.
Not sure if you still have the rule where I need to tag someone, but either way I'll tag my buddy @csusbgeochem1. What are you listening to today dude?
I was 17 when 'Smash' was released. Still one of my favorite albums 😁
It's July 4th so how about this 80s angry anthem
An awesome classic!!
I really had to learn to like this one, but now I think it's an awesome song
Amazing hauntingly beautiful voice!
Can you imagine it took me years to see (hear) that??
There is no end to good music that can be accessed for free nowadays.
Remember Nora Jones?
I want money too... great old tune... sand in my shoes... Some great tunes...machine... love them all...tears... can't go on without you...
Remember this from way back when playing on the radio, fun lively song, nice selection on the oldies.
Interesting choices. I shared mine earlier today:

I can not break up with old music, unknown to some, boring for others ... "IF"

@jaynie Here is one I really like.. the video says it all.
Never heard Kaleo, but it is interesting. Dido i did not heard for 7- 8 years.
i been accused that when asked to share music on steem i am sharing my friends :D but i feel they are underappreciated :)
Yay! So glad you liked them both, and as I said elsewhere, if it weren't for the sentimental feelings I have for the original, I'd prefer the cover too. 😊
Okay, for this week - although I'm not usually a fan of the "death metal" growly vocal style, this song was in heavy rotation on our boy's playlist, and I really liked it. Then he showed me the video, and explained to me that the female vocalist did ALL the singing, including the intense growly stuff, and I was beyond amazed.
Needless to say, I did a bit of Googling, just to be sure it really was her singing, and found this quote -
So fair warning - the song starts quiet, then gets not-quiet...LOL! And with that, I leave you with the beginning lyrics, then I'll shush so you can play the song...
"Step forward and meet a new sunrise
A coward is shivering inside
Today I'll, I'll be a friend of mine who swallows
Suffering with smile
I drew a different reality
With unconditional loyalty
Ego hardly can be piqued 'cause I'm selfless" ~ Jinjer
I've been listening to Kaleo on and off for quite some time now. My favorite song is the one that's in Icelandic language.
Encouraging reminder from songs enjoyed, great group we enjoyed in South Africa then later in London. Barclay James Harvest - Life is for living 1980.
Come on @fionasfavourites to join in with a song.
Thanks for calling me over, @joanstewart
My selection for today is another South African classic from Freshlyground. I loved it the first time I heard Zolani sing it at a Kirstenbosch Sunset Concert. Don't know how many years ago....
