Risk & Reward
Have I said I like this course? Well, here's another reason. The strategy @lewisglasgow has developed keeps giving. So with the introduction of harmonic patterns, you have an 80% chance of hitting and turning profit. His risk to reward strategy is set to 1:2, so that for every $1 you risk, you stand to gain $2. That excites me because you can win a little under 50% of your trades and still turn a profit.
This is amazing because it turns something as mysterious as trading into a science that you can use to consistently make a profit. I haven't been able to find a strategy like that, and I doubt I will. If you have something please go ahead and tell me! :)
Betting and SteemDice
By hedging my bets, I thought I could beat SteemDice
I didn't.
SteemDice allows you to set a wager, and will tell you what the payout is.
So hell yeah, I'm going to use my casino betting knowledge in my favor. I set the wager at 75%. I would bet $6 SBD to gain$ 2 SBD. Every time I won, I dropped the bet. I would get down to $1 SBD, and when I finally lost, I wouldput my bet back up to $6 SBD. I know the likelihood of losing twice at 75% odds is slim.I continued this strategy and was up $50 SBD. Then I started getting greedy.
I would bet the max amount $25 SBD and won. I kept dropping it down. I must have pissed off the game, because I ended up losing 4 times in a row. I won small, then I lost again. I had won against the casino, and the casino wasn't happy.
moral of the story: don't play steemdice
