Just finished the last bits of leftovers of an amazing meal! Pork and sauerkraut is a Pennsylvania Dutch/German staple meal that is traditionally made for New Years Day. My and my wife's families both love this tradition and the tasty meal that comes with it. I can't remember the last New Years I didn't have this meal and I wouldn't change it. Thankfully my wife is as excited about this tradition as I am and she made plenty of delicious pork and sauerkraut in the crock pot (and home made mashed potatoes) that lasted for leftovers!
