Distribution of more guns into American communities? So that less people get hurt? Perhaps that's the mentality that led to America's gun culture getting out of hand. Governments and law givers have been chosen by the people to serve and protect. Teachers are employed to teach not to be body guards. In practice governments can be corrupt and law enforcement can be useless but hopefully we learn from these tragedies and find better solutions. Guns are not distributed in America. We buy them in stores. Less people are hurt, raped, burglarized etc., because we shoot back or just point them at the bad guys. But those statistics are not often reported in the media. There is no gun culture in America. That's all BS. Our burglary rate is lower than Europe. Even the UK has had nuts shooting up their schools -- and they have strict gun control. Go figure. America is a right to self-defense culture. Get it right. Some cities don't allow self-defense. NYC etc. Law enforcement can't be in every home or school. And you would not need to arm all the teachers, just the smart ones. Thanks for sharing your false hopes.
Guns are distributed or else how else would people get them? If you arm everyone you think there'll be less crime? Less death? Of course America has a gun culture that's why you're promoting it. It's a part of who you are, you fall back onto the constitution despite the brutality of it all. Advocates for more guns in your country have become desensitised to gun use. It's become NORMAL. Well here's a reality call for you mate, it's not normal to pull out a gun anytime you think someone's a threat, it's not normal to shoot at people because it's your 'perceived' God given right, God has nothing to do with it... Its insecurity and fear which guides your persistence to maintain this freedom.
Giving guns to teachers... Um... Only the smart ones? ...lol
Not sharing False hopes bro I just call it how I see it.
Guns are "purchased" in the U.S. Big difference. They are not distributed. The fact is, there is less crime in the US. Less rapes, burglaries, theft etc. Less death? Give me some evidence. What verification do you have that shows the more people owning guns increases rapes, burglaries, theft, murder rates -- on a national scale. Does not happen. It's not about being desensitized, brutal, God fearing (I'm an atheist) or about our constitution. That's simple propaganda. I doubt you are from NZ. More like Iran or North Korea maybe. It's about one thing: self-defense. What you are saying is humans have no right to defend themselves. You want a world of defenseless victims, where any thug with a gun trumps you. A nation open to any foreign invasion. That is the result of your philosophy.
The school shootings could have been prevented, if the gun control on campuses was lifted. Any nut with a rifle would not have the balls to step onto a campus where people are allowed to defend themselves. Thugs have no guts. They prey upon the weak. The defenseless. Those who have no rights.
You live in fear. A world filled with brutes that can rob you at any moment, because they know you are not armed. You are a potential victim of your own arrogance. Playing Russian Roulette with thug's guns.
Good luck to you.
Stop watching all the "fake news."
I don't agree with most of what you are saying and I'm glad not all Americans share your view. I hope we can agree that life is precious and that putting more lives at risk is not the solution. http://abcn.ws/2CsroxK
Disarming the innocent will only serve to empower the criminals.
