Around last year, I have been seeing the photos of this pink color lakes in Instagram. I was not so sure about its real color, because let’s be honest people Photoshop everything they post online, including me. Sorry , can't help..
So I did some read up online and guess what, yes some of them are actually pink. I have also heard of a pink color sand beach from Indonesia, it seems to me that one is not true though. Anyhow, it's because Micro-organisms produce a red pigment that turn the algae pink. It also depend on the temperature and salinity of the lake have to reach a certain point in order for the water to change colors. They are also extremely salty, hence often called as the salt lakes and are used for salt production.
I mean , we can’t deny the unique colors of thee waters, isn't it ? Below are some of the places that you can actually visit and accessible. And I also included pictures that do not look too overly edited , except the first photo.

Thank you. my first one would be the one in bolivia ..
My opinion is, the pink color came from a billion pieces of powdered red organ pipe coral. And it's not quite good to swim in pink beaches because of the dead corals that might hurt your feet when you step on them.
there are corals? I thought they are salt water mostly..
