I woke up that day with a strange - but very strong - intuitive feeling. On Jan 3rd 2013, I was flying from Mexico where I had been visiting friends, back to Costa Rica, where I lived at the time. Right away upon waking, I had this weird but super intense intuitive feeling that I needed to put one of the small paintings I had with me in my carry on luggage. The intention was to give it to someone on the plane to start the year with good Karma for my art career.
I got ready to head to the airport, had a bite to eat, went through customs and then had some time to wait before the flight was scheduled to start boarding.
As I was waiting to board, I saw someone coming to our gate with airport security. I couldn't believe my eyes - it was the President of Costa Rica (at the time), Laura Chinchilla. And she was getting on the same flight I was about to get on! Her and her family & security boarded first. I knew they would be in first class, and that I would probably have to pass her to get to my seat. When I did, I quickly gave her the little painting! She gratefully accepted it :D
After we took off, a steward came back to tell me the President wanted to meet me :) When I came up to first class to meet her, she was looking at the painting and she had a look on her face like it gave her deja vu, or was synchronistic for her. We spoke for a few minutes. I told her a bit about my art. I told her I was inspired by her decision to get into politics and run for President in a culture that's still very macho. She told me she was humbled I'd give her one of my creations, and was very grateful. She also told me she and her family had been in Mexico for a "Mayan purification ceremony" to ask for blessings for her family, and all of Costa Rica in 2013. When I asked if I could get a picture of her with the painting, she said "I have a better idea, my son will take a picture of us both together with the painting"- and she asked her son to snap this picture!
I can't really explain why I had such a strong feeling to do something so specific as put a painting in my carry on luggage. I've never experienced anything like that before or since. All I can think of is when you pursue your passions, goals and joys in life you'll emit a vibration that will attract experiences that will support your journey. I hope this story serves as a reminder to you to follow your joy!

I love Costa Rica and some of the most beautifull times of my life following my intuition through the amazing jungle! I ended up sneaking into Envision, living on the beach serving people tea, fruit and guatemaya cacao, and then became part of seed camp for the Costa Rica Rainbow in2016!!!
