every human on this earth knows a lot about egypt's history and know at least one information about the pyramids and sure about mohamed salah :) , but here's a quick live review about egypt right now from an egyptian guy who lives in egypt
1 - we don't go to work riding camels :D we have cars we have subway ,, no one rides camels since 1600 maybe or something :D
2 - its really cheap in here ,, as a foreign when you visit egypt you will be welcomed pretty much from everyone in here ,, no one would hate you or treat you deferent then usual .. as a matter of fact you will get the time of your life with the least cost ,, ive known people who spent like 500$ for a week in egypt ,, the point is you need to know who are you visiting ,, where are you going exactly .. and sure , what do you want to do ! and you need to plan for it before you actually travel so you avoid getting scammed
3- there is some workless guys in egypt who's job is to scam tourists ,, they're not dangerous though ,, they only need your money . so to avoid this to happen you should hire a a guild to be with you all the time when you are out .
4 - prices is cheap ,, but don't get fooled
us dollar is worth like 17 egyptian pounds so if you intend to spend a thousand dollars , this means you spend 17 thousand pounds . that's a lot of money it could buy an old but good shaped car :D so , if you intend to buy yourself a drink "beer maybe" that is like 50 pound is the highest price !! but in your case you will pay in dollars , so you are going to the same drink with over 20$ "340 pounds",, that more then 700% more then what they actually cost , so you can tell a friend to buy it for you or come with you to speak for you :)
5 - finally ,, be safe , be smart
guys , egypt is very safe , the only reason you should be afraid for if you are a risky person .. if not ! you will have the greatest time of your life :) and i will be waiting for you 😀
Are you egyptian? Please share this wonderful story which makes us egyptians really proud
