A Trip To Bohol, Philippines!

in #travel7 years ago (edited)

Hey guys! I'm going to share my experiences and thoughts as we went to Bohol, Philippines. I'm making this for everybody, and for the people who have plans in travelling but don't have any idea where, welp maybe this blog can help!

So it was a long weekend when we made our way to Bohol, Philippines together with my cousins. Going there is not that hard especially when you are just living in its neighboring island—the island of Cebu.

It was a fine day when we left home making it early so that we can visit many tourist spots before the sun sets. I know it would take years for me to go back there so I seized every second, every minute of that day, making great memories together with my extended family (coz my parents are bz thats y they ddnt come, so very sadlike).

For the transport, we rode a fastcraft. Travel time from Cebu to Bohol is about one hour. I totally fogot where in Bohol we landed (I'm so sorry for that). We contacted a tourist van just before the day of travelling so when we landed, the tourist van is just waiting for us to load in.

First up was the main attraction, Chocolate Hills!

There are some hills that are ruined by the earthquake last 2016, but that didn't stop the tourists from coming, the view is still amazing especially when you are watching it from above. You can't find this anywhere, only in Bohol. You can see this in pictures but the feeling is different when you witness it by your own naked eyes.

Next stop was the mini zoo
I know you can find this anywhere, but the difference is that I am able to touch a real snake! (well, you can still touch a snake everywhere.. lmao!, i dunno y we got in here hahaha) Imagine yourself getting inside the cage of a big snake, it does makes you cringe!

We didn't take too long there though, call me overacting but still, it's a great experience to touch a snake xD.

The Butterfly Farm was next!
Here we did take long, it's nice they have guide who gives infos about everything in there(i dunno what they are called).

The ambiance was nice, too bad the rain pours we weren't able to watch the butterflies fly everywhere. The accomodation was also nice, everyone there was happy with their job. You'll really learn something.

Fourth thing was to visit the tarsiers!

I was excited to witness the tarsiers, too bad it's not allowed to hold any and take a selfie with them. But still, you can't find this everywhere so we took one picture of them for keeps.

Fifth stop was the Manmade Forest!
It was a nice place though. We took many pictures there. Eventhough the road is wet, i still dared to have a squat in the middle of the road for picture purposes.

As long as I had fun, its worth the wet pants! (the driver even laughed at me!)

Hanging Bridge was next. I attempted to pass through, but duuude! It was made of bamboo, it was hanging, it's wet because of the rain thinking it would be slippery. Many are passing, it's swinging!, I'm with a kid! [an annoying brat one(hope her mom won't read this xD)], underneath the bridge was a flowing deep river (with crocodiles they say). In short, I failed to make it to the other side. It only took me five steps i guess? We'll I'm not the only one who didn't make it, my sisters too! Hahaha

Last place we visited was Bohol Bee Faaarm!
What I really like there was the place, it was colorful and full of life. We tasted their Ice Cream, it's yummy and milky, what made it unique was the cone.

And I just found out that you can now find their Ice Cream at SM and Ayala malls, in selected branches nationwide, I guess.

We also went to Hinagdanan cave, getting inside a cave is somewhat creepy, we didn't took pictures inside the cave, we're allowed to take pictures but we were busy witnessing the beauty of the cave, that's why.

It was not yet over, after the whole day road trip, we stayed at Dumaluan Beach Resort for the remaining day ahead. The surroundings are refreshing to look at. The beach has white sand, also, they have approachable employees.

I can say that I had spent my long weekend well ofcourse it will always be spent well everytime you are together with your family. The bonding that was built during the travel was the most important, and unforgettable moment.

Thanks to my cousin who took my pictures and my other cousin who took the other pictures :D

So that's all for my trip in bohol. What d'you think? Tell me in the comment box below!
