Although this is seen as one of the greatest monuments made out of love, sha jahan did a lot of things that were unacceptable such as the chopping of hands of all involved in the construction. The lives of many were ruined.
Also he was married a few times and mumtaz was said to be his favourite and therefore he built this for her. Another aspect is she died before construction was finished and therefore didn't even see this magnificent building.
What's are your thoughts?
With out a doubt I feel that this structure is utterly amazing and definitely a place to visit but the concept of love is a bit overdone in this instance and the stories you learn.
