Check out the pictures of the first few days from the Kochi Biennale here! This particular day almost took the life out of me in terms of heat and humidity which I think was the hottest day in my entire trip. It really made me wonder how I was gonna travel the rest of the days. But eventually I shifted my focus to the biennale and did my best to hydrate myself.
Anyway, after a super heavy breakfast accompanied by sprinkles from an installation (thank god!), I began exploring the exhibitions in Fort Kochi. This venue was divided in multiple rooms and storeys which worked out perfectly given the temperature.
This wall contained real stories sent from people all over the world but I think I saw a lot of them from Paris. Many of them addressed animal abuse and I remember reading a particular one about this woman seeing a neighbour abusing a dog and how it died as a result. I just couldn't believe my eyes as some of them were just too cruel!
Some interesting figurines and structures in this room where the only sound was from these planes. It offered a good view of the Vembanad Lake and structures in distance.
This huge room with tiny objects totally reminded me of inception and the glass box was so long that I couldn’t even see the other end of it!
By the end of the day I was starving and found this cute little place for dinner. I wanted to try some Kerali cuisine and tried Puttu and Appam with some vegetable curry in coconut milk. I loved it so much that I ended up having the same thing for the next 2 days!
