Why I loved Granada part I

in #travel8 years ago (edited)

Genil River.

My smile explains everything, I would definitely live in Granada.

And definitely would go again, I loved going in summer, really the atmosphere is sunny, cool, vacational, laid back.

Granada has an air of mystery and peculiarity, it is so beautiful, from the genil river to its giant chapel, the gypsies, the nightlife that is very moved, its sites, the Alhambra, the Sierra, Granada beer that is exquisite, Here I will try to translate my experiences and anecdotes knowing this beautiful city that owes me a little tour soon :)

To begin I will say that when arriving at Granada you will find entrance by the bullring, also known as The Monumental of the Frascuelo.

Part of what our meeting of choirs was in this place was where the inaugural session of the XXXVII international congress of pueri singers was held.

Here you can see the opening day of the arrival of all choir delegations.

Well, I stay right in an apartment next to the river genil, this river is born from the sierra nevada, the water is crystal clear I was pleasantly surprised, in fact there are plumbing, or drinking fountains in the streets of Granada where you can fill your Filter of water that is not processed because it does not need it, something that is always proud to say to the people of Granada, they say "With confidence, drink the water without problem, this is the best water there is": D and seriously it is .

Just look at this.

This was my view from the window of my room for 10 days :)

As soon as you walk Granada you realize its Arab influence, and it is that you can not hide, this city had a Moorish King from the 13th to the 15th century was part of the last Arab redoubt in the peninsula, although it has been a long time Granada conserves both In architecture as in food, to mention some influences that continue being present today, of the Islamic world comes that great importance to maintain the pure water as they do and the innumerable sources that this city has. :)

A little of what you can appreciate of Arab influence in the city, I also visited the market of the Moors so they say, the viewpoint of San Nicolas and all that I will show them in my next post :)

Here a bit of the food I could try, chorizo, goat cheese, bread, egg cake, lettuce and tomatoes cherries :)

If you want to see more, good news is there is much more!

If you liked, don't forget to give me an upvote ;)

To continue show you, Granada at night, the streets of Granada, the market of the Moors, two of the churches I visited.
