Hace unos 4 años realice un viaje a un sitio donde muchos desean ir y donde el espiritud se te renueva... Este lugar se llama La Gran Sabana. En en colegio donde yo estudié, habia una tradición que era que todos los estudiantes que llegaran a 3er año de bachillerato o (secundaria para algunos) organizaban un viaje y este era con destino .. A este magnifico lugar.

Todo comenzó el septiembre del año anterior cuando empezamos a hacer verbenas y rifas a fin para recolectar fondos para poder reunir la cantidad necesaria para poder ir todos. Pasaron los meses de febrero, marzo, abril, mayo… y llegamos al gran mes JUNIO. Todos moríamos de ansiedad. Ya luego de unas semanas… todo estaba listo organizado y comenzó este gran tour, fuimos al aeropuerto donde estaban mas de 28 caras llenas de alegría y emoción por esta gran aventura.

Al tiempo de 1 hora de vuelo aproximado llegamos a una Ciudad que se llama Puerto Ordaz. Aquí nos encontramos con nuestros guías, que por cierto, eran suuuper amables y simpáticos, y de ahí nos montábamos en 5 camionetas machito, así le dicen en mi país ( serian camionetas 4X4). De ahí si fue un largooo viaje de aproximadamente 8 horas pasamos muchooos pueblitos y por fin llegamos a una carretera laaaaaarrga que a un costado decía BIENVENIDOS A LA GRAN SABANA. Uff no se imaginan la emoción que da ver ese letrero, nos tomamos muchísimas fotos y luego otra vez a tomar a camino como 2 horas mas para llegar a la posada. !

Ahí pasamos días inolvidables, de verdad que la atención por parte de los pemones (son la etnia mas numerosa de la region) son super amables y serviciales. Fuimos a la frontera con Brasil (Santa Elena de Uairen), a un pueblito llamado Kavanayen que tienen lindas edificaciones donde se quedaban presidentes de Venezuela como Rafael Caldera.

En esa semana visitamos diferentes saltos como el: Salto del Aponwao (Chinak-meru) Salto Kamá (Kamá Meru) Salto Kawi (Kawí merú) Salto del Yuruaní Salto Karuay y el no menos importante pero igual de hermoso el Jaspe..

Le llaman la quebrada de Jaspe por que como su nombre lo indica la piedra que hace ver la quebrada roja es el jaspe, y sinceramente es magnifico verlo!!

Y para cerrar pero no es menos importante.... Los hermosos paisajes de los tepuyes que son las formaciones geologicas mas antiguas del planetas.
