I like the motto follow the front wheel and see where it takes you...in this case id say it was a great choice. Some of the most interesting events in life happen spontaneously. I still cant believe your so daring on the bike 😀 loveley shots.

To me, it doesn't seem particularly daring. It's just a thing I do all the time. Doesn't mean I don't feel the excitement, I do.
I love travelling that way. Sometimes, of course, route and timing is important (when Freeways are my friend), but left to my own I tend to wander and find things...
