Sorry, I haven't been to active recently. School and work got me busy. BUT I now can write about my trip that I took to Prague! I went on this one with a friend I met in Germany, who's from Turkey. So that's who the large guy with the beard is haha. And my beard was growing at this time and looks weird because it's in that awkward growth stage. ANYWAYS.
So originally I was supposed to go here also with other Americans but it didn't exactly work out haha, a little miscommunication. So only me and my friend went. There were some things he wanted to do mainly being go shooting, because it's not so much a thing in Turkey, and hey I love guns too, so I said absolutely I'll go.
After we arrived at our hostel; we had a prebooked thing to go out to the range, and a private car picked us up, and we fell asleep in the back, so they could have kidnapped us but they didn't (thanks Czechs) and we arrived at the shooting range
We each got to shoot three guns, the one I remember distinctly is the ak-47, because who doesn't want to shoot an ak-47. It was cool; it was strong, and I have terrible aim.
And included in it they gave us this massive Czech beer and a sandwich, which I thought was really nice. It was a pretty good value.
In the Czech Republic these use crowns and not Euro's so we had to convert our Euro's to crowns, and you have to be very careful about this because half the places are scams, so we preplanned and looked up online where the locals say to go.
This is the place btw, if you're ever there right nearish the main square, amazing rates.
On my friends request we went to a pub in more of the outskirts of the city; where we got beer, you had to knock on the door and ring a bell to get in. But dang the beer was only .50!
And here's a little Czech if you want to have some basic communication, locals will appreciate it:
We went to this restaurant for dinner, also a local restaurant, not typical for tourists. It was cheap and authentic and DELICIOUS
It looks amazing, doesn't it?
We also had a little mishap at our hostel, I was stupid and didn't follow directions by putting the little card on your bed to indicate you're there and they marked me absent from my reservation and charged me a fee. And I was like, huh? And it took a little while to sort it out but the owner was super nice and gave us each two free drink coupons!
And maybe I'm a little weird for liking this so much, but it had bunk beds with three levels! It's like a childhood dream come true.
And here's some pictures from the main square, if you go early in the morning, there's like zero people and it's amazing.
They have really beautiful architecture, which is one of my favorite things to admire on trips.
And that's all for now, that was day one of our journey there and it was pretty jam packed. See you in part 2! Thanks for reading! Upvote!
