Sleeping in the airport : Survival guide

in #travel8 years ago (edited)

Got a cheap ticket and of course your flight is at 6AM, right? These are the compromises that sometimes we have to accept and it looks like you have no choice but spend the night in the airport.

Don't worry to much, is all included in the "Adventure Pack" and it's free. Relax, you will survive the night

Be sure you get there in time, just before the other travellers with same idea in mind, and once there hurry up! You need to find a free socket! Your phone is dying soon and new energy is required! Find it or I swear, you're gonna spend most of the night just walking around hoping that human empathy will help you.

Now that you find it everything is gonna be alright, maybe..So bad that you have to go to the toilet but you can't leave the stuff there and you are almost sure you will lose the socket advantage! So do it quickly and be back soon, it's a great competition.

You have done everything in the right way and you should be proud of you. But wait! You said 6AM and planned to sleep? Are you aware that you have to get up at least one hour before right? Sorry to destroy your plans but let me suggest you not to close your eyes, if you are like me (need 6 alarms to get up)
Soon it's gonna be morning and you will be on that plane.

6AM already? You did it, you survived the night as I promised you. I never lie, you know it. Tired? No problem, you can sleep now above the clouds

Hey, u can follow me for fun and awsome image every day :)

There are different reasons to sleep at the airport. I had my flight from Madrid at 5pm but I've reached the city at 5:30am (night buses are way cheaper in Spain, yay!). So I've decided to go to the airport by foot (I had a lot of time and I wanted to visit my favourite park there (parque de retiro). But when I got there it's was still 11:30am. As there was not even one bench, I've decided to had a nap on the floor. When I woke up, there were people around me, sleeping as well. Honesty? It was way more comfortable than any other sleep at the airport I had :).

Hate being stranded there. Good one!
