Matunuck Oyster Bar is beautiful right down to the flowers on the table.
Cheers to my cousin and I!! We get together when we can. On and off rain didn't stop us! She has always been there for me and we always have a great time.
The Lobster roll is fabulous there. We had salads instead of fries. :)
Drove to Watch Hill after we ate.
My cousin knows the small side path leading to a lighthouse that you can drive down if you are 65+ (see there are some benefits to getting to the sixties!). If you are not, you can walk to see the lighthouse.
Beautiful homes nearby including our lovely celebrity Rhode Island resident, Miss Taylor Swift.
And plenty of shops. With the rain on and off, we just went to one store that we just parked in front of.
Had to twist our arms, but we both bought something! ;)
A cute sun hat that fit pretty perfectly for me. My cuz found a cute pair of casual summer lounge pants.
What we missed because it was a bit too wet out:
- the ice cream store
- taking pictures of the flying carousel
- getting out at Daddy's Bread, a bread business on the honor system (we drove by it!)
- checking out more of the shops (I did when I was a child, many years ago!)
I just may head back that way in a week or so! Oh and I think I can twist my cuz's arm by just saying two words: ICE CREAM :)
