After our long drive in the Emirate of Fujairah where I showed you the Al Hail Fort, now, I want to introduce to you the Dhayah Fort which is situated in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.
Ras Al Khaimah is located in the northern part of the United Arab Emirates. It is rich with beaches and archaeological sites. If you live in Abu Dhabi City and in Dubai, you would really appreciate the unbusy road, uncrowded city, the rocky mountains and serenity of Ras Al Khaimah.
DHAYAH FORT is twenty kilometres away from Ras Al Khaimah City. It is situated on a hill and played a vital role in protecting the land of Ras Al Khaimah against their enemies. When we visited this place, it was mid-summer and the temperature was 43 degrees Celsius. It was freaking hot that the air was so thin and you can't barely breathe because of the heat. To reach the fort you have to climb 234 steps with the slippery way and nothing to hold on to. I wanted to back out because of the extreme hot. But I kept on telling myself that I drove too far there’s no turning back now 😂. When we reached the top, the view was astonishing and it will make you realize that it’s all worth it! 💕
I suggest you should come and visit the place by winter to avoid extreme tiredness and heat stroke. If you are planning to visit during summer, try to reach the location before sunrise and during sunset to avoid the rusted heat and to have a very good scenic view of the neighbouring town and mountains. As I said, I love instagramable views so I can drive for hours for that 😀. But since we reached there midday, it was very hot and you can only stay up to 1 minute under the sun. Please take note that either summer or winter, be sure to carry water along with you. Stay hydrated! 🙂
