It is longest water dam of India.It is build across Mahanadi river. It is longest earthen dam of world

Zero point name suggested that this is point where flow of water take place. It is a big reservoir and due to this reservoir maximum place of Odisha double crop cultivation is possible.

Both the side of the dam is known as left dyke and right dyke.In one side of the dyke Debrigarh wildlife sanctuary is situated. Which is full of greenery. Different species of animals located according to the season.
