I have just recently returned from one of the most spectacular countries I think I have ever been in, Japan. The people were kind, generous and respectful, the food was healthy, fresh and of the greatest quality and their designs and architecture are otherworldly. In certain areas, it is sleek, futuristic and high tech, but in other parts you can still feel the steam punk era that was once grand Tokyo. The whole country brings together the old, the new and the natural. It really is a sight to behold.
The stunning Matsumoto Castle on a cloudy, cold morning. It looked so beautiful and its features more accentuated framed against the grey backdrop.
I got into a good habit of adopting the ole Asian squatt.
Downtown Dontonburi.
This was our Osen hotel that had a full view of the Glorious Mt Fuji.
Road trips through the mountain towns of The Gifu Prefecture.
Our first snow sighting in the Alps!
Our zen lunch just outside Kyoto in Arashiyama.
The monkey Park in Arashiyama.
Our Evenings in the Park Hyatt Hotel in Tokyo.
The old town of Takayama, consisting of Sake breweries, Miso houses and Mochi cafes!
I could bombard you with endless photos and it is an understatement to say the country is beautiful. Japan has a culture that remains the most bizarre yet familiar, its almost as if they took the best parts of western civilization and perfected it.
