Last December, I planned a trip to Taiwan. (I had a great time there and can't wait to visit there again soon!)
Looking for a restaurant doesn't seem always easy when you don't speak their language or reviews from tripadvior are not always accurate. So, I want to share some places for great lunch or dinner with you all. Hope you find this post helpful. :)

"Sushi in Taiwan?!" I can hear some of you. lol But, I yes to sushi in Taiwan!!
It seems quite strange to go for Japanese foods in Taiwan, but historically, Taiwan was under Japanese rule for 50 years and their influence hasn’t faded in their food culture yet. Surprisingly, sushi was pretty good. It was comparable to mid-end ones in Japan.
The fish market was a well-designed and clean. There are many other sections for seafood barbecue, fresh seafood for to go, grocery and dessert. There are tons of foods you can try. Make sure you go there with empty stomach and cash!
타이페이에 가면 많은 분들이 찾으시는 어시장입니다. 중국 본토에서 맛보는 스시와는 다르게 나쁘지 않은 퀄러티의 스시를 맛볼 수 있어서 꼭 추천하는 곳입니다 :) 카드 사용이 어려우니, 현금을 가져가는 걸 잊지마세요!

Mo-mo Paradise
It’s all you can eat(for 90mins) hot pot restaurant. I know some of you might not a big fan of buffet style. But! Mo-mo Paradise was really good that we ended up going there twice. They have 4 different broths you can choose. I highly recommend Sukiyaki. (Small tips: They will give you raw eggs if you pick Sukiyaki broth. You can crack the egg into small bowl and whisk it to use it as a dipping sauce, but if you don’t like the idea of eating raw egg, simply skip it.)
Staffs will check on you very often to bring more meats and vegetables. They have English menu, so it won’t be hard to order whatever you want to have.

뷔페식의 일본식 훠궈 레스토랑입니다. 스키야키를 베이스로 한 훠궈가 너무 맛있어서 이번 여행동안 두번이나 간건 안비밀입니다ㅎ
대만도 한국과 비슷하게 일본의 점령기가 있어서(한국과는 다른 형태지만) 음식에도 여전히 그 영향이 남아있는 듯 합니다.
주문을 할때는 훠궈냄비에 어떤 것을 베이스로 할지 고르고, 기타 재료들은 대만식 중국어와 영어로 된 메뉴로 주문할 수도 있지만
대부분 카트를 밀고 다니면서 그때 그때 테이블별로 체크하기 때문에 중국어 혹은 영어가 어려우시다면 눈으로 직접 보시고 달라고 하시면 주는 형식입니다 :) 꼭 가보시길 추천드립니다!

Hutong BBQ, 胡同燒肉
Do you want something simple like grilled meats and vegetables?
Hutong BBQ had a very hip and lively ambiance. Servers were extremely friendly and helpful. From Australian wagyu beef, pork to seafood, you name it, they will be on your table right away. Their Japanese-inspired drink menu was a plus too.

Liang Pin Beef Noodle, 良品牛肉麵館
(Tomato braised beef noodles above)
This place has been consistent with their flavor since I've visited a few years ago. And it's amazing to see how efficient their service is although this entire restaurant can be packed! The beef was so tender. Well-balanced broth felt so good in my throat. They serve two different type of noodles, thick or thin noodles. Thick one is home-made knife cut noodles and it’s very unique Chinese-style noodles. You should try!
It’s near Taipei main station, so easy to go to grab a quick lunch. It’s normally busy during lunch hours but table rotation is pretty quick, so waiting won’t be so bad. ;)
양품우육면관도 많이 아시는 식당이시죠? :) 타이페이에 많고 많은 우육면집중에 제가 가장 선호하는 집입니다 :D

Xiao Chuan, 小川
Xiao Chuan,小川 means small Sichuan. As you can guess, it’s Sichuan-style of Taiwanese foods. Their spicy scallop and air-fried green beans are must-order dishes!
개인적으로 사천음식을 정말 좋아해서 시도해본 식당이었는데 잭팟이었습니다 <3
메뉴가 정말 다양하다는것도 플러스 중의 플러스입니다 :)
