Embarcadero is one of my favorite area in San Francisco for urban hikes.
During the day, before sunset or even at night, it has so many faces. It's quite lively with locals and travelers as well.
On the way back, a wild parrot couple said hi to us.
Interesting facts: Wild parrots in San Francisco are a mixed breed, cherry-headed conures and mitred conures from South America.
The US used to be the largest importer of birds in the world until 1992, so many of them could be brought to the states.
The cherry-headed can't talk like other parrots because they don't have a good memory or vocal skills. They are often found near Ferry Building in San Francisco and other towns in South bay.
Scenic view of Bay Bridge from the embarcadero. :)
