Once you dodge and weave your way, walking down the narrow walkways, dodging soapy dishwasher being thrown from the windows by little old ladies....then the smell of the canal water...then you hit the square, everything should be fine at that point...
Oh, wait, then you have to avoid being sprinkled by pigeon poop.
I will say, when i was there, the tiny islands out beyond the square held some hidden gems for visiting.
All forms of old craftsmanship can be observed.
Candle makers, glass blowers, biat builders, lapidary workers... really neat stuff!
