Life in transit, this is my story. An introductory post.

Traveling has always been my way of finding myself, discovering new places, meeting new people and breaking free from the monotonous office life. The nostalgic sunset burning the northern sky while on my way to my next destination is something I look forward to.

I love the adventure and the excitement of getting lost in the next town or city while experiencing everything it has to offer. The opportunity of having new friends, talking to strangers and asking for directions is very satisfying. Traveling is fun and I always make sure I am enjoying it.

My name is Ferdinand, named after the late dictator. I grew up in the 80's under martial law in a rural setting. Growing up in a sleepy town surrounded by valleys made me wonder what lies beyond those mountains back in my short pant days. I was 6 years old when I first step in a powdery beach 80 kilometres from our hometown. That started my fascination with beaches and traveling.

School breaks and every break in between gives me the chance to enjoy vacation at the beach or in the province with my family back then. Now that I am already working, spending it will just be another holiday schedule in my planner I wished to happen. So, ahead I planned my vacation leaves and prepare my feet waiting where it will take me.

Recently, due to covid restrictions, my travels were limited to nearby beaches and local destinations. I have traveled the country's last frontier that is Dinagat Island, been to Palawan's El Nido, enjoy the volcanic sand of Bali, watch the beautiful sunset of Boracay, but I have not been to me (char). Seriously, the recent situation has made me realize the importance of traveling locally. Exploring your community and surrounding area will help you better understand your roots and eventually your self. At the end of the day, you will always go back to that sleepy town you grew up to.

Since traveling is my passion, I want to use this platform to share the experiences I've had during that time.

My colleague @explorewithsasha share this platform with me, I've been curious so I am giving this a shot. Since I gave up my social media account like Facebook I am switching to writing and putting my extra time into learning while reading some useful contents.
