Today we took adventure to a whole new level by climbing an active volcano in Guatemala called Pacaya.
The elavation is around 8,000 feet high.
We also had surroundings panoramic views of Guatemala City, Antigua, Lake Amitalan, as well as 3 additional volcanoes.
So you can imagine how high up we were.
Once we got closer to Pacaya volcano, we were able to roast marsh mellows near the creator.
The views were spectacular but as the we made it to the top the temperates do drop down to sweater weather.
The hike was about 2 hours up and 2 hours down. We saw a beautiful sunset as we finished up and had to make our way down in the dark most of the way.
Do carry a flashlight if you are doing this hike. I would say the hike is moderately difficult.
Today will be a much deserved down day but we will be travelling to Lake Atitlán for about 3 hours.
now I feel like I need to do more traveling..

I am spellbound. As I was viewing your pictures I have no words to explain the spiritual charge of energy that washed over me. I can only imagine what it would be like to actually be there and experiencing presence of all. When you get home and you come across an obstacle just reach into you memories of this day and that you are connected to the source and let all just fade away. Thanks so much for sharing @bitdollar.

Really like the 3rd & 4th image ! The 6th one (#SUNSET ) is out of this world good !
The sunset is a depiction I enjoy ♦♦ The fact you all got to toast Marshmallows is radical -- what a unique DAY you had.
The Dusk portrayed in the 2nd picture from the bottom is sorta 'mysterious looking' . Nice addition, as it complements the Daytime pictures.
Liked the 1st image quite a bit too. I like to climb mtns, too ♦♦ In fact, I walked up Mt. Lassen (an old volcano site), & it was SO #FUN.
