I'm travelling back to Australia, as always I try and break this 24 hour journey up with stop-overs. I've always wanted to see the Burj Khalifa in person, didn't really care for going up it, just the awe sight of the beast.
Well it didn't disappoint. Standing in front of the building you're neck hurts trying to look up at the worlds tallest building, you actually struggle to fit the building into a photo.
Building constructions started in 2004 and completed in 2009. With a hight of 829m or 2722 feet at the tip, the Burj Khalifa took the mantle as the tallest building in the world knocking off Taipei 101 building which stood at 508m.
For those geeks out there

Mainly residential the building boasts the Armani hotel on the first 8 floors and a viewing deck at 555m. It really does standout against the others in the sky line.

Located near the Dubai Mall which if you like that kind of thing is quite impressive. Three floors filled with shops, eateries, cinemas plus all the usual items, oh plus a waterfall and ice rink...
Oh and a cool red van
It's easily accessible via the red metro line which runs like a vein down the centre of the city with train every 3-4 minutes. Dubai is a very modern and bustling place. If you can stand the heat I recommend a visit.

Crazy tower!
I cant even imagine it in real life. Safe to say we don't have many tall buildings where I live. This is just....idk what it is. Awe.
