Iceland has a LOT of waterfalls, and they are all amazing. This magnificent waterfall is called Gullfoss - it looks like a three tiered staircase. You can hear the rumble of the falls and the plumes of water. In fact, if you are near the falls, you will get slightly wet. One interesting fact about this waterfall is that during the first half of the 20th century, the government wanted to use Gullfoss to generate hydroelectricity. This would destroy these falls entirely and replace it with a damn. A local Farmer's daughter fought hard to stop these plans and eventually won out - preserving the beauty of these falls to these day.

And greetings from the Faroe Islands, just in the neighborhood of Island. You should check it out if you have a couple of days. 1 hr flight from Reykjavik, similar to Iceland just less tourists.
Enjoy your trip.
I'm a big fan of Eivør. =)
great post
thanks for sharing really nice pictures, greeting from Sweden
greetings! sweden sounds really fun!
It looks awesome
Been there / done that / got sprayed with water 😂
Crazy thing is, I see so many photos of these falls on the internet. Iceland would have lost one it's greatest tourist attractions had they dammed it.
