Look at you! We might actually end up on the same time zone at some point! It sounds like it has been a harrowing experience for you so far. I'm guessing they have some kind of shuttle system at the airport that might make it a bit quicker if you needed to get from one place to another faster than walking. It doesn't always work that way though. We had a connection in Atlanta once and knowing that is the busiest airport in the US I was terrified of missing our connection. I'm sure the extra security is a pain to navigate. To be fair though, while it might be unique to the US, no other countries have had terrorists fly their jets into buildings that I know of either (unless you think it was a conspiracy). I'm glad that your travels are nearly over for a bit and I hope you have a great time with your family!

I would say that they almost would HAVE TO have some sort of shuttle service but this airport is such a maze of corridors and dead ends that your guess is as good as mine as to where that might be.
The security was at least friendly this time and I think that has recently changed perhaps due to bad press regarding how abrasive they were in the past. Other times that I have returned to the USA they were downright mean to everyone without reason, so I was happy to see that they were at least making an attempt at being kind.
That is good that they had a better attitude! It's so good you had plenty of time to get from one area to the other. I can't imagine how much of a nightmare it must have been. Getting ready to read your new post right now.
