Auckland, New Zeeland, Australia… all these words I got to know when I was a kid in elementary school.
Of course, we studied briefly on Geography lessons about these places, but just as for the majority of the people who were living in Russia at that time, it was not more than one more place that you probably would never visit in your life because “What can possibly be further than New Zeeland… maybe the Moon”
But now, after years of waiting and an uncountable number of turns of life, I am here. After the longest flight that ever existed so far (DUBAI – AUCKLAND)
The dream has come true.
The first thing that you notice is how nice are the people on the streets. Everyone looks so happy, smiles always is willing to assist you if you are confused. And it is green.
It’s so green that it doesn’t look real. A bunch of trees everywhere along the streets, in parks, little playing areas. A lot of fields for playing all kinds of sports.
Next day we headed to Hobbiton movie set. A ‘must see’ place In New Zeeland.
If you ever watched The Lord of the Rings no doubt you would recognize this place even if weren’t told where you are. A dreamland of Hobbits amazes you from the moment you enter the movie set.
You can walk around everywhere and even enter a hobbits little house.
And at the end of the trip, you can try local hobbits ginger beer. Well…. That’s kind of smile it gives you after all.
I won’t forget in my life this country even if I have to stop flying one day.
