Right now, American athlete Colin O'Brady walks on foot through the icy desert of "summer" Antarctica to get to the coast on the other end of the continent and survive. Over the past 100 years, brave souls on solo travels — without the aid of kites and supplies on the way — have either turned off the route or died.
More than 1500 km, strong winds and frost. At the beginning of the way - sleigh 180 kg. There are plans to go every day for 10-15 hours, overcoming at least 20 km during this time. If O'Brady's all goes well, his journey will end in January 2019.
