In Pictures - Zagreb, Croatia During Summer - Steemer's Ideas and Reviews

in #travel8 years ago (edited)

Seaside is always better than scalding city asphalt during summer time, but sometimes you have no choice!

I hope to see many fellow steemers post their holiday adventures in the coming months!

Here are some things you can do if you are in Zagreb during July and August!

To do

  • Summer at the Stross 2017 - featured it recently in one of my posts!

  • visit the Courtyards - Upper Town - old city centre - a lot of urban entertainment, delicious food, craft beer, refreshing drinks and talented music artists, from jazz and classics to pop.

  • chill at the Art Park in the shade!

  • go on a free tour - is it all true? Of course not, but better than boring historical facts :P

  • Take a walk in Park Zrinjevac, right next to the Center - they often have mini shows, performances or tastings. Some big music shows too, usually on the classical side.

This is what I caught in photos in the area the other day.

And there was this mushroom installation in the middle of the Park that I really liked:

While researching this I found out that Lonely Planet named Zagreb to be the Best holiday destination in Europe 2017.

Go figure!

I think it is a great opportunity to find a new loved one! Even a soul mate! Why not?

There is also one great museum for the ones whose hearts are broken. it is called as broken hearts' museum, by the way beer is nice and women are beautiful in Croatia.
