Top 6 Places To Visit If You Are Going To Japan And Documentaries On Each Of Them

in #travel8 years ago (edited)

Here is a short list of 5 of the must see places and landmarks if you go to Japan to visit. This is adapted from the Gaijin Pot list located here (https://blog.gaijinpot.com/top-5-must-see-places-in-japan/) I found documentaries on each of the places and put them under the landmark so you can see in video more about the place before you visit. With a massive 19.73 Million people a year going to visit Japan, it is one of the best tourist locations in the world. If you have been there before. Ill also add one more of my own suggestions at the bottom. If you have any recommendations please post in the comments.

Himeji Castle

The Phoenix Hall at Byodo-in Temple

Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park

Kanazawa

Koya-san

Shirakawago

Spotted a typo for landmark in the first part.

nice catch! Im half asleep right now about to make a 3 hour drive back to my school.

As an akita owner, i have to add the statue of hachi to your list.

The Hachiko statue at Shibuya station is another cool landmark. I tried to leave Tokyo out of this, but I might might a Tokyo specific one in the future. Tokyo itself is a massive beast with a bunch of different cool landmarks.

Must add to this list necessarily: Nishiyama Onsen Keiunkan - a hot spring hotel in Hayakawa,Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan. Founded in 705 AD, it is the oldest hotel and one of the oldest companies in operation. In 2011, the hotel was officially recognised by the Guinness World Records as the oldest hotel in the world. It has been operated by 52 generations of the same family since its founding.

Wow this looks beautiful.

Nice share specially Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park this place has historical back ground so this will attract more visitors than other places in my opinion.
I salute to Japanese who survived after Hiroshima Nuclear bomb attack and now the world no 01 in technology .

Yeah I haven't been to it, but I have been told that you get a surreal feeling looking up at the dome.

These places look amazing! I confess, I would love to go to a place like Japan but am very nervous about the language barrier (English and a little bit of Spanish are my languages). Can someone like me get along okay with limited vocabulary?

Japanese people are really helpful and eventhough a large amount don't speak english well, someone will usually try and help you out. Also in general places like Tokyo are very english friendly.

I will definitely keep that in mind. One more thing you should try to do some short videos @calaber24p. By the way Good post
