Yes, that’s me! Taken upon arrival in Dingalan, Aurora
Dingalan, Aurora- “It is the southernmost municipality of the Province of Aurora, Dingalan is situated at the east coast of Central Luzon fronting the roaring Philippine Sea with Sierra Madre Mountain range to the east. Beyond the varied coastal attractions of the town, Dingalan also boasts of other inland natural wonders – mountain peaks, waterfalls, rivers and cave systems! All waiting to be explored!” - Lakwatsero
We have to drive for another 30minutes to Dingal port where we will catch a boat that will take us to White Beach. We also stopped by to have a quick breakfast.
White beach
We settled ourselves in a hut rented by the organizers and geared up for a 2 hour hike.
With the twins, Darwin and Daryl, on our way to the Light house
I can’t help but look back and just appreciate the view as we climb higher.
Almost there!!
I am inlove with the view
This is the view when you are on top of the light house. It looks surreal and every picture can pass as a postcard!
We stayed for about an hour and went down to prepare to our next stop. We went to another island where Lamao Cave and Lanao Falls is located. At the shore, there were big rocks that you can climbed on and have a better view of the beach.
Lol, The stuggle is real!!! I forgot to bring my shoes with me since the original plan was to go swimming. haha
“Meditating”
It was a really good spot to just enjoy listening to the waves hitting the shores
But before I get sunburned and toast my ass. I went down and again, the struggle was real-ER (if there’s even a word) this time.
To beat the hot weather, we moved on to see the falls. I don’t have that much photos on our way because most of the time I was dipping myself in the water.
The only picture I have at the falls. They say that this is one of “untouched” beauty of Dingalan (oopps! touched it)
On our way back, we stopped by to see the Lamao cave. They say that caves were formed by the waves hitting the big rocks near the shores
Guys! I tried my best to get a good shot with it. But one thing you should know about me is I CANT SWIM. It was actually my first time in a water without a floater and I coundn’t be more proud of myself
Lamao cave can be explored when you aboard a boat and it is advisable that you come in groups. The ways are stronger as you go near the caves and the waves are solid.
P.S. I'm sitting on a lifejacket
After a long day of adventure, whats better that recharging ourselves with a local meal. Courtesy of My Happy Feet team, they prepared a Boodle Fight late lunch for the group.
Boodle Fight- "a Filipino tradition of eating originated from the Philippine military where a big pile of food are served in the middle of a really long table in a mess hall where every hungry soldier eats with their hands symbolizing of camaraderie, brotherhood and equality in the military. The “fight” in the name refers to the act of grabbing and eating as much as the soldier can before others grab them or runs out, remember this is served to very hungry men so if you’re slow you will definitely run out of food." – Raymund of angsarap.net
This is pretty much a long post for a day trip but what I like about it is that I was able to enjoy a long drive, a boat ride, trekking, swimming and EAT a lot. It’s almost a total package of what you want for an adventure. Such a short time to be able to do lots of things.
The Dingalan Syndrome – a prevalent condition in which tourists get so fascinated with the infectious beauty of the province- is REAL.
Thank you for your time and have a nice day!
