From 1993 to 1995 I had the privilege of living in Burkina Faso, West Africa. What an adventure it was. I remember the first day arriving to Burkina in the dead of night. I kept hearing beeps coming from the trees above. They happened to be very large fruit bats with a wing span of around 10 inches. I also remember riding motor cycles from village to village. I would stop and greet people out in the bush by huge baobab trees.
One day I traveled out in the heart of the bush to a water reserve designed by Europeans. When I walked around these 2 village kids walked up and wanted their picture taken with me. I thought it very nice and got my picture taken with them. I'll never forget my time in Africa. If any of you ever get the chance to visit anywhere in Africa you should go. What a blessing it will be. I'll write many more adventures of my time in Africa at a later date.
