Hello fellow Steemians,
I hope you are all having a great day! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.
The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.
Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.
There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @zelivsky:
The view of Prague taken from Legie Bridge. On this photo you can see some interesting buildings. For example, Bedrich Smetana Museum (housed in the neo-Renaissance building of the former Old Town Waterworks), Old Town Water Tower, Karlovy Lazne Club (a nightclub housed in a building dating from the 14th century. The club has five floors, with each floor playing a different style of music. It is the largest club in Prague, and claims to be the largest nightclub complex in Central Europe.

I rewarded @zelivsky winning entry with some extra upvote. Feel free to visit his blog and check out some of his other photos.
Thank you for your submissions. Have a great day and keep on Steeming!

My today's entry was made in the North of the Czech Republic on the Castle Kost - Bone. Bone is a Gothic castle located in the Bohemian Paradise. The castle is open to the public from April to October. The tour of the castle is divided into four circuits.
Thank you for your submission. I have to make my way over there one day! I think this is the first time this castle is being entered into the challenge and will sure make a great entry for today's edition.
This picture was taken the 1st day of 2008 in Olomouc's Main Square (Horní nám). We decided to celebrate New Year's Eve in Olomouc after we read (somewhere) that it's like a small (and less crowded!) Prague. We didn't get disapointed. It's a fantastic city! We arrived to Olomouc just after visiting Prague and it was like having some kind of calm at the first moment we stepped on the city. And it was snowing!
We strongly recommend to visit Olomouc!
Thank you for your participation! I just love Olomouc!
Thanks to you for the photo challenges. Hope some day can come again to Czech Republic. Cheers!
Water towers! Prague needed hundreds of them. This is Water tower for Libeň in Prague 8, Ládví. Height 42 meters. It was inspired by the Dutch lighthouse.
Built in 1904.
Many of water towers have vanished. The rest are repaired and used for various community programs.
Beautiful tower, I go around her almost every day.
Oh that's really beautiful!
Beautiful indeed! Nothing like ours, lol.....
BTW, thank you @krakonos:)
I think the John Lennon´s Wall has already been featured here but maybe not the part with the actual painting of John Lennon :) I don´t know if this is the original painting after which the wall was named (probably not) but it definitely looks cool. Its not that easy to find this famous Prague landmark as it is hidden among the old streets of Mala Strana but it is worth the search :)
The view of Prague from Petřín hill. It's possible to see many city's sights from this point. I name here only some of them: Charles Bridge, The Church of Our Lady before Týn, Žižkov Television Tower, The Equestrian Statue of Jan Žižka of Trocnov on Vitkov hill.
I like getting up early, but on my vacation I just wanted to rest...but how to sleep longer, if you have such a nice view from the window. What I love in Prague is diversification of the area. In one minute you are as in normal city, going down the street...in the other one you just turn left and can see roofs. It's so unusual.
Thank you so much for your participation. What a great entry!
Today I will try something different than you are used to. I chose a photo of one of the biggest and the oldest sports events that take place in the Czech Republic every year. It's a race car race. The race is named Ecce Homo. And in Šternberk he went for the first time in 1921. Modern history began in 1971. Since 1981 he has been hosting the European championship.
That sure is different:)....
Lednice-Valtice area (Southern Moravia) can offer many beauties. One of them is Minaret. It is stone lookout tower (60 meters high). Couple of times I went all over to the top. Fortunately, I am not afraid of heights 😊 You can see the entire forest park of Lednice and Valtice from Minaret.
The whole Lednice-Valtice area is just a top place to visit! Thank you for your contribution!
From a different aspect of Prague Castle from my trip of Prague. There are so many sharings of this castle but I would like to add this. Because it is one of the amazing architectural structure of the world..
For lovers of Art Nouveau architecture, Prague is a must. I spent days criss-crossing the city on foot, so as not to miss details. If I had nine lifetimes, I probably couldn’t see everything. I am posting two pictures of an entryway to a residential building. One shows the entrance as seen from the street, the other is a detail once you step in and look above the front door.
I took this picture on our way to the famous Veitsdome. We have seen this awesome view many times here at the block from @czechglobalhosts. This is such a nice view over this incredible town. And the best is, it is for free :)
Still beautiful!
Old Town Square. If you look at the photo carefully, we will notice how naturally the adjoined Praga Caput Regni body is combined - the meeting hall of the city council (in the past, the house of the merchant Miksha). Despite the difference in colors, it looks good.
The inscription Praga Caput Regni means - Prague is the head of the Kingdom. The bas-relief above the inscription is the coat of arms of Prague.
Before the city started numbering each house like we are used to nowadays, they would use house signs instead. Each house would have its own sign (symbol). So if you wanted to send a letter, you would write that you live in a street XXX and at the House of YYY. That was your address. Many old houses in Prague still have the symbols on their facade, usually above the door. This house is a good example that you can find near Old Town Square. The House at the Black Sun. Quite beautiful, isn't it?

Thank you for some good info!
The Old Town Tower is the gateway to Malá Strana through the Charles Bridge. This medieval tower, considered one of the best examples of Gothic architecture in Europe, and in the foreground, the Charles bridge is the tourist image of Prague, it is like being in a beautifully enchanted area with the tower on one side and the castle road at the other end, always with many musicians and artists to please the visitors.
Prague-Old town square. Cities were always like people, showing their varying personalities to the traveler. Depending on the city and on the traveler, there might begin a mutual love, or dislike, friendship, or enmity. Where one city will risa a certain individual to glory, it will destroy another who is not suited to its personality, only through travel can we know where we belong or not, where we are loved and where we are rejected.
What a great capture! It sure is beautiful!
Thank you very much..
The Strahov Monastery is a Premonstratensian abbey founded in 1143. It is located in Strahov, Prague. In the complex there is the church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the rare Strahov Library, the Baroque Theological Hall and others.
This photo I made in the city of Pilsen, on one of the largest squares in Europe. Against the backdrop of the Gothic Cathedral of St. Bartholomew, whose bell tower is 102.6 meters high and is one of the highest in the Czech Republic, a plague column is photographed. At the top of which is a copy of the famous Pilsen Madonna. The locals built a column in 1671 as a token of gratitude for the mild course of the plague epidemic.
Today is a different part of the city. My friend and I decided we wanted to get lost and ended up getting REALLY lost. A few feet in front of me in this picture is almost a 90 degree drop. It is like this part of the city just built right into the hill.
this is the view of the city of cuban republic praha from the bridge charles, praha or often called the city a thousand towers are very beautiful at night with the lights of lights burning throughout the city, it is very amazing.

The Holy Sepulchre is situated in central part of saint hill in Mikulov (next photo will be from another city, I promise). This building is part of an original structures from 1620. Holy Sepulchre is imitation of the original Sepulchre, located in Jerusalem. There is statue of lying Jesus inside. There was massive reconstruction lately.
Tha Prague astronomical clock or "Orloj" is worth to see! Anyone who is planning to visit Prague should see this clock. Took this picture when I was in Prague 2 years ago.
