WARNING: The use of images that are not your own on which you claim the ownership will be flagged - HELPING TO STOP PLAGIARISM ON STEEMIT
Hello fellow Steemians,
I hope you are all having a weekend! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.
The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.
Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.
There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @jlgc:
I think it's the emblem of the center of Prague, The Church of Our Lady Before Tyn, overlooks one side of the Old Town Square. The twin towers of this powerful Gothic church (with a baroque interior) can be seen from all over Prague. Although its origins go back much further, the current structure of Gothic style was founded in 1385 as the main church of the Old City.

I couldn´t reward @jlgc winning entry (as well as the next 14 best entries) with upvotes as Steemit has been having some glitches but I will do that as soon as it works.
Thank you for your submissions. Have a great day and keep on Steeming!
Please feel free to check out some of my other recent posts.
We made it: Steemit in the TOP 1,000 websites in the world!
Quote of the day: Don´t be afraid to fail. Be afraid not to try.

Czech Kumlov. A warm summer evening, which is especially pleasant to remember in the winter. Thanks to the rented car, we could stay in the city after excursion buses leave. It's amazing to watch the streets becomes empty.
Soft sunlight on the roofs and walls of houses. A paradise for a man with a camera. And since I at that time had no rights for car driving. I could afford to myself not only shooting but also some beer)
Thank you so much for your great entry! It will get featured in today's edition. Tomas
Karlovy Vary is absolutely unique in the number of curative hot springs in the world. Inside Mill Colonnade, the largest colonnade in Karlovy Vary, you may find and sample five mineral springs. Image was taken in summer 2012.
Today, I would like to proudly introduce you to the city hall of Opava, my Czech hometown. I took this night shot right before Christmas of 2016, hence the giant Christmas decorative ball in front of it. Home to some 60,000 people, Opava is the capital city of the Silesian Region of the country and a beautiful historic town with impressive architecture.
Here is a picture from inside that very church, taken back in 2010 on a Sony C902 phone of all things :-) Very beautiful place and a must see on anyones Prague itinerary.
Here is a picture of Petrin Tower during the day, I have posted a picture because but it was when it was lit up, which is really beautiful. I think while I was in prague I went up to Petrin 2 or 3 times. It is a much see.
I have to nothing but agree! It certainly is a must place to visit while in Prague. Tomas
St. Vitus Cathedral is the dominant of the Prague Castle. It can be seen not only from anywhere in the fortress, but also from many points of Prague. The Gothic cathedral, whose construction strikes imagination. The Cathedral as a whole is staggering. The Cathedral is named after St. Vitus, Vaclav and Vojtěch. It was founded in 1344. Currently, here is the residence of the Archbishop of Prague.
Great to get a fabulous image from the inside. Thank you so much. Tomas
Not the best pic but one of my favourites none the less! Taken at the Sedlec Ossuary in Kutna Hora... even though it was the middle of winter and freezing cold loved the day trip out to the country and visiting this bone church was defintely a highlight!
Prague - city of great panoramas. All day was rainy and stormy so we stayed at hotel room almost all day, but after 4pm everything changed. It stopped raining and the sun shows up. Great weather with fresh air for a walk up, up, up to see a sunset from higher perspective
Thats is a great shot. Thank you so much for your contribution. Tomas
Thank you :)
Here is my entry, from the year of 2014. I visited the city in late august during my student exchange. For me, it's really hard to choose between Prague and Budapest, both are amazing cities. This picture was taken on the old city side, very close to the Charles Bridge with the view of the Prague Castle.
That's a beautiful shot!
Great click! Thank you so much for your participation with this beautiful image. Have a good one!
Sharing another photo from the Astronomical clock - this time another side of the view. On the day when we were up at the clock, it was a bit cloudy but luckily it didn't rain. From far away, we can see a tv or mobile tower of some sort. In such a historical town you see a modern fixture, it does look a bit out of place.
Nice panorama :) I think I havent seen the Zizkov Tower from this angle yet...
Great view! Thank you for your submission. Tomas
Visitors to the Old Town Square in Prague are always astonished by the Orloj clock tower, but there are many other buildings that are also very beautiful. One of these is the St. Nicholas Church that is just on the corner of the Old Town Square. This is what it looks like in the winter. Have a look a it when you visit Prague!

Great image!
Janohrad (Januv hrad) is located in Lednice-Valtice area (South Moravian region). It is romantic ruin of castle, about four kilometers far from Lednice. You can take a walk around its surroundings. There is beautiful nature – if you are lucky you can see wild birds, deer or even wild boar.
Hidden away on the edge of picturesque Cesky Krumlov is the Egon Schiele Garden Studio.
Maligned by society, tortured soul, Egon Schiele produced powerful paintings and drawings, some of them so ... morally reprehensible let's say, that they landed him in prison. He lived and worked in this colorful little house for a while. It is now a seasonal artists' colony and art gallery, the perfect place to commune with him and his art.
On photo below you can see capital city of Czech Republic, Prague. I like that city because it is similar to my favorite city, my hometown Ljubljana. Especially from view on photo below many could tell that it is from Ljubljana, not Prague.

Great image! Thank you so much for sharing.
Astronomical tower at the Prague Jesuit Academy, Clementinum. From 1st January 1775, the weather is continually recorded. One hundred meters from Charles Bridge, but here tourists almost do not come. He does not know about it.
This building located in Prague is very interesting and exotic, with all these ornamental elements. They show a great degree of detail, that I find quite fascinating, and also the pink colour is quite unusual. Its façade was built in Art Deco style.
wow...what a nice travel and The scenery is very beautiful I like it very much

The Czech Republic is an exquisite reflection of Europe's cultural and architectural diversity. With over 2000 castles, keeps and ruins, it boasts one of the highest densities of architectural history in the world - there's no better place to step back in time than on the cobbled streets of Prague's Old Town. Book your tour now.
Hello! Kindly provide an ownership of this image as I have a suspicion that this is not your personal image. Thank you. Tomas
Can I upload a picture of my city?
it seen such a beautiful city, like a dream destination to go on vacation :)
congenial & captivating!
Very beautiful
Astronomical Clock, one of the icons of the city of Prague, which hosts more visits every year, gives much more information than minutes and hours. Thanks to the quadrant on the watch, it is a tremendous structure that makes it possible to read astronomical information about where the sun, moon, constellations and planets lie in the sky. The clock consists of four main sections.
Amazing picture
Yeah, There are a lot of things to understand about our own thoughts.
Taken from a bridge between Rajhradice and Rajhrad city. Picture captures Svratka river. I was walking a dog when I realized this would be the perfect spot for a picture! My grandfather’s dog loves this part of the river because water here is not so deep and he does not like swimming :-) He only likes running in the water.
As there is already plenty of pictures about Prague in this contest let me mix in some Moravia here. The picture was taken in my grandparent's place in Moravia (village Ohrozim). Amazing views in that spot!
Uff .. I thought you had not liked, thanks to you for your wonderful daily post, I with your selection and I had an excellent day.
astonishing & accomplishment!
