Hello fellow Steemians,

I hope you are all having a great day! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.

The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.

Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.

There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @davedavis91:

Hrensko. A little village surrounded by sandstone mountains and right next to "Elbe-River". Mainly a tourist destination with plenty of restaurants, a few hotels and a little river going through its midst. Vietnamese shops all over the place selling all sorts of clothing, toys and stuff... From there you can start pretty cool hikes into different areas of the bohemian Switzerland.

Hi Steemians, today I'm posting one my older pictures. This picture is taken in Nerudova street, historic street linking the Prague Castle to Charles Bridge via the Lesser Town (Malá Strana). On the back you can see the Church of Our Lady before Týn (Chrám Matky Boží před Týnem) in the Old Town Square on the other side of the Vltava river

I love this shot. So picturesque! What a great entry to start of today's contest. Thank you so much!

With pleasure

Crowds of tourists on the Charles Bridge, a magnificent historic bridge that crosses the Vltava river in the center of Prague. Measuring 621 metres (2,037 ft) long, the bridge is decorated by a continuous alley of 30 statues and statuaries.

Permanent residence - Third cave to the left of the crossroads to the Kokořín Mine, Central Bohemia
P1080905.JPG
There are caves in the sandstone subsoil. People have modified them. As shelters at the time of the Thirty Years' War, like beer, potato and coal cellars ... Finally, as a dwelling.
But in the early 20th century the caves were abandoned.
They were unfashionable. There was no electricity, gas, water, sewerage ...
But now he's in their nice cooler.
There are hundreds of them in the designated location. Some for tourist marked, 99% unmarked. But do not get too deep into them.... Occasionally, a sudden torrential rain comes!

valdštejn garden.png
Valdštejn garden is a lovely garden located immediately southwest of the Malostranska metro station. The garden plantings, statuary, water features, and adjacent government buildings blend together to make a wonderful setting. In summer the garden is the venue for concerts and theatrical performances.

Within the castle complex St Vitus Cathedral is a must see place. Wonderful stained glass, which if possible go and see on a sunny day. Crazy crowded but line moved fast and the stained glass is unbelievable! If you don’t want to pay, you can get into the main part but you won’t see the treasures or the stained glass up close.

Prague Castle + St. Vitus Cathedral are one of the most photographed sceneries in Prague. You can get a shot even from the Charles Bridge, the most famous bridge in The Czech Republic. This photo was taken from Jirásek Bridge in the summertime. Prague Castle is definitely worth a visit!
Ahoj!

I visited castle Hluboká nad Vltavou near Budweis on a wonderfully sunny winter's day. I have visited many castles in many different countries already, but this one is my all-time-favorite. It's just gorgeous with such a detailed architecture and with a wonderful park around it.

It is a funny building, catch mainly photographers to come and do a popular photos for their collection. The Dancing House is a piece of unique architecture designed by Frank Gehry. It is right in the center of the business district of Prague and it can be seen from all good viewpoints like the Petrin Tower.

St. Barbara's Church, Kutná Hora
This is an architecturally unique church in the Czech Republic and certainly in Kutna Hora. I saw a similar church in Milan. In addition, it is very photogamic from a few corners of Kutna Hora as well as a nice vantage point on the city located in the courtyard of the church.

Sedlec Ossuary
To see so many human bones used in the interior design is ,to say the least, a little unnerving. The history is however very rich but I still don’t understand what was going on in the mind of the artiste who came up with this idea. I guess pain of a loss of a loved one had a lot to do with the idea and his creativity.

The Powder Tower in the center of Prague. I always like watching it, because I know that as I walk through it, I always get to a good place... be it the Old Town and the street towards the Old Town Square, or if I walk the other way, then I get to the Municipal House, and then I know that the Palladium mall is near!

Prague1 - Powder Tower.jpg

I arrived at night and the lighting made it look magical, I loved it and I had never known a city with such a gothic style. The historical center is necessary. The old town of Prague is really beautiful, and full of life, even if the orientation is not easy. Everything is very well maintained and clean.

The Gothic cathedral of St. Bartholomew is situated on the main square in Pilsen. From the tower you can enjoy a 360 degree view of the town. Very beautiful church! The view from the bell tower is nearly breathtaking. Don't forget to touch the angel on gates on the Southeast corner of the church.
