Hello fellow Steemians,
I hope you are all having a great day! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.
The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.
Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.
There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @phortun:
Side view of the Radun Chateau, a majestic chateau built in architectural style known as Neo-Gothic Romanticism. Radun is one of the most popular chateaus in the Moravian - Silesian Region and, next to its beautiful interior, it also offers an opportunity to visit an orangery and stroll through the stunning chateau gardens surrounded by a park and network of ponds.

The lookout tower on Petrin Hill was built in 1891 as a 5x smaller copy of the Eifel Tower. In 1953, a television antenna was added to the top. In 1979, the lookout tower was closed to the public due to a poor technical condition. It was opened again in 1991.
I am not too keen on B&W images but this one stands out. Great shot and place well worth featuring today. Have a great day. Tomas
In this photo I was thinking a lot about whether to leave it in color. Black and white just works better. Thanks for featuring for today.
Thank you for featuring my photo Tomas! :)
Today, I am submitting this shot of wild ducks in the Vrbovec Pond (Rybnik Vrbovec in Czech) that is located in a protected natural area known as the Hvozdnice Microregion. Found in the Moravian - Silesian Region of the country, the reserve is home to numerous animal and plant species, including these guys :)
Photo of the façade of the Spanish synagogue at Jesefov in Prague. This synagogue was built in the second half of the XIX century and the style used is Moorish revival (for this reason, it is called the Spanish synagogue). Recently I published in your blog a photo of the interior of this building which is beautifully decorated.
Another great shot from the Chateau Valtice. while we had a trip to this winery as a class, this beautiful shot was made.
The chateau valtice is one of the well-known wineries located in the Moravian part of Czech republic
Yummy. Great shot!
Thank you
Escape the crowds and visit one of Prague's most important landmarks after dark.
You will drive to Prague Castle, passing the "Hell's Hole" on the way. You will enter the castle estate and will see the Golden Lane, discovering its links with Alchemy. You can admire the three spiers of Saint Vitus Cathedral and Prague Castle while immersing yourself in this nocturnal atmosphere and discovering this remarkable city from a new perspective.
Information center for tourists in Prague. There are several of them all over Prague. There is everything you need for any tourist. Let's start with the currency exchange. Even more, in the information center you can buy the most common souvenirs from Prague.
Of course, this is alcoholic products. Famous Becherovka and Moravian wines, slivovitz and other traditional liqueurs. Large selection of magnets, pens, notepads, T-shirts, mugs with themes of Prague.
Statue of Charles IV.
A significant Neo-gothic monument based on the model of Arnošt Hähnel (a sculptor from Dresden) was made by the workshop in Nürnberg in 1848 for the 500th anniversary of the foundation of the Charles University.
John of Nepomuk is considered the first martyr of the Seal of the Confessional, a patron against calumnies and, because of the manner of his death, a protector from floodsand drowning. Statue of St. John of Nepomuk standing on the old bridge over the Lahn.
In August 2010, floods hit the Prague. I was lucky to be visiting the city during that time and see the power of water. I remember it was so high some museum we wanted to visit that weekend were actually closed because of the water reaching dangerous levels so the expositions had to be taken back to saves. This pic was taken cca 50 meters from the Charles Bridge (it's behind my back).
Pálava Protected Landscape Area
The town is quite small so one weekend is enough to see most of it. Really nice view over the town of Mikulov from the Palava hills. One of the best places in South Moravia. Must see. Must hike to the top for panoramic views.
Old Town Square almost completely empty because of the heavy rain (it was packed as usual few minutes before that). I took this picture on Friday afternoon from the Scout Institute (one of my favorite place in Prague).
Jeseníky Mountains are situated in the northernmost part of Moravia, by Poland border. The Jeseníky Mountain offer a paradise full of natural treasures. It is a rough but at the same time romantic landscape that will win you over at first glance.
Hi! I am doing a random check of the originality of the submitted images to make sure they are not plagiarized. Since you are the new user without much information on your blog I will need you to provide an ownership of this image. Without the prove you will not be able to take part in my contests. Thank you for your understanding. Tomas
