A detail of the one of the sculptures of Charles Bridge. I do not know the story that represents.

(

This story is about St. John Of Nepomuk. Legend has it that he refused to divulge the queen's confessions to King Wenceslas IV. That is why you see a woman at confession in the background. On the panel to the right of this one on the statue you will see a depiction of a man being thrown from the Charles Bridge. That man is St. John Of Nepomuk. That is how he was killed. If you touch the panels, I think both but I'm not sure so best to touch both and be safe, it will bring you good luck and ensure that you will return to Prague one day -- kind of like the Trevy Fountain in Rome.

Thank you for some great info! Highly appreciated. Have a great night! Tomas

Thank you for the information. I appreciate it.

St. Vitus Cathedral is one of the most exquisite architectural structures in the Gothic style. It houses
a large number of figures of chimeras and gargoyles. For all their sinister appearance they are called to scare away evil spirits. They are not easy to see at a glance. First, they are quite high. Secondly, they almost merge with the walls and vaults of the cathedral.

Make sure you don't miss any detail when visiting Prague! This photo, of Riana taking a photo, was taken on Prague old town square close to the Astronomical Clock. ;)

Today I give you the tram stop near my flat in Prague. Sometimes there just isn't enough seating at a tram stop so you have to improvise.

I've seen someone else post a picture of this but I thought it deserved a second mention. The Prague Astronomical Clock in Old Town Square is so incredible, even more so when you learn it was installed in 1410! It's a testament to the medieval technical and mechanical knowledge that it still works 600 years later!

OH, absolutely! Always worth to highlight one of the Prague's most visited attraction. Thank you.

Basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul, neo-Gothic church in Vyšehrad in Prague. It was founded in 1070-1080, but the current building was constructed between 1885 and 1903.
