Hello fellow Steemians!

I am here with another round of my photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below. I host this photo challenge twice a week - on Tuesday and Friday.

You can submit your entries in the current round from now until Friday, 6 AM (CET). Please, don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.

The best 15 entries of the round will be rewarded with my upvote. I will also pick the absolute winner of the round from these 15 photos and reward him with an extra upvote on one of his recent posts published on the Steem blockchain. The winning photo will be also featured as the cover image for the next round of the photo challenge to give the author some more exposure and publicity.

There were many great entries submitted in the last round of the Prague/Czech Republic Photo Challenge and I had a hard time picking the absolute winner. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @ritxi:

Brno is the second largest city in the Czech Republic. There is only one structure listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, The Villa Tugendhat. This villa is the most important European building of architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. Its symbiosis with the adjacent garden is more than evident from this photograph.

Congratulations, @ritxi! It is my pleasure to upvote one of your recent posts.

Thank you for your submissions everyone. Have a great day and keep on Steeming!

Please feel free to check out some of my other recent posts.

View of the Mlynky Water Reservoir, a little dam located just outside of the town of Straznice in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic, very close to the Czech/Slovakian border.

This is my entry for today's contest. I can't remember where I took this photo, but I remember well the wonderful view over the city from this spot. Maybe someone of you can tell me where this photo is taken? :)

Prague.

City Hall in Usti nad Labem is located on one of the most beautiful squares of the city. On the other side of the square we can see the city theater, and between the buildings there is a beautiful square with fountains. The area looks especially beautiful in spring when the trees are blooming.

The old town square in the heart of Prague, there is no shade in the vicinity but people are still rushing through like they don't care at all. Worth noticing that during this summer day it was about 35deg or something constantly scorching, asphalt and concrete. However, it is a must see thing in Prague.

A view of Malá Strana (Lesser Town) a historic and very aristocratic neighborhood of Prague.
These red roofs are very typical of the place. The photo was taken from the hill of Prague Castle

From the 13th century, the Order of the Crossmen with a Red Star was larding here.
This mansion was the center of their estate. From there, their Prague monastery and hospitals were supplied.
Throughout history, the castle was destroyed and restored. The present appearance dates back to 1755. The same time comes the chapel of the Holy Trinity and St. Wenceslas. It was surprisingly preserved in its original form.

Hello, this is the highest building in Brno and the Czech Republic AZ Tower, 111 metres tall. I made this photo during sunset. The building was built in 2013. And why it has 111 metres? Developer had meeting with the mayor of Brno city Mr. Onderka.
Developer: I want to built a skyscraper in Brno.
Mayor: No problem.
Developer: It will be 107 metres tall.
Mayor: But Ok, but I like the number 11. Can it be 4 metres taller?
Developer: Ok.

And funny thing is, that the 4 meters, which makes it the highest building in Czech Republic, is just steel stair with outlook.

Díky jeho schopnostem, charisma a geniální vojenské strategii i použití vozové hradby vítězili husité nad křížovými výpravami.

Thanks to his abilities, charisma and brilliant military strategy and the use of the wagon wall, the Hussites won the Crusades.

Prague Castle is a complex of buildings and structures, cathedrals and squares. The culmination of this architecturally and historically rich place is St. Vitus Cathedral. Prague Castle is located on the left bank of the Vltava in hilly terrain, which is why the spiers of St. Vitus Cathedral are so visible from almost any part of the city.

Well-known view of the meander of the Vltava river near the small village Solenice (under the dam Orlik). The picture was taken in early evening of sunny summer day.

Great one! Yes, this is a well known place, but I never been there..yet

Špilberk castle is one of the dominants of Brno. “Špilas”, how it’s called by Brno citizens, was founded in the 13th century by Přemysl Otakar II. This photo is made from the garden of the famous Villa Tugendhat, which has an outstanding view.
