Hello fellow Steemians,

I hope you are all having a great day! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.

The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.

Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.

There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @kamis:

Today’s photo captures Palava hills (also Pavlov village) and a piece of dam - Nové Mlýny. A lot of rare animals and flowers can be found on Palava hills. This region is wonderful. In summer we can walk and taste wine or ride a bicycle (nowadays is too popular), go fishing, kiting in dam - Nové Mlýny + there is this new museum - Archeopark Pavlov. I hope this is the last picture from this winter and another picture will be more cheerful and warmer ;-)

I rewarded @kamis winning entry with some extra upvote. Feel free to visit her blog and check out some of her other photos.

Thank you for your submissions. Have a great day and keep on Steeming!

When walking across the Charles Bridge, the views are beyond incredible but I think my favorite part are the 30 statues that line the bridge on either side. I didn't take photos of every statue but there were more than a few that stood out to me. This was one of those standouts, a statue of John the Baptist. Not surprisingly, it was the gold cross gleaming in the late day sun that really caught my eye, truly a beautiful work of art.

This is one of my early panoramic works, taken during summer vacation in Czech Republic. Trosky Castle Ruins - amazing castle situated in the high hill among forests with a great panorama over fields, villages and other colorful landscape's mosaic. Worth visiting for all and great thanks to my friend who convinced us to go there!

And your entry might as well convince others as it makes a great entrance for today´s edition. Tomas

Thank You. Your contest is a great oportunity for me to search the archives, I visited Czech few times already, not so far from Poland, great direction to spend free time, good beer, beautiful landscapes and many other turist attractions. I loved the Prague since first sight, for me is the most beautiful old town in whole Europe (didn't saw them all, but I am almost sure about it :). Have a great day!

A beautiful view of the Legia Bridge and the Prague Castle with St. Vitus Cathedral opens from a small bridge across the Vltava. This bridge connects the Slavic island and the Vltava embankment near the National Theater of Prague.

The final moment of a grandious light show performed at the Krizik Fountain in Prague. Since 1891 when the fountain was created for the World Expo Exhibition, it has been one of the most impressive technical-cultural landmarks of the city. The stage is surrounded by an amphitheatre for more then 6,000 viewers. Photo taken in summer 2015.

Hi at my today participation I'd like to share with my cityscape photo which was taken from Petrin Lookout Tower with view on Rudolfinum concert hall.

Rudolfinum belongs to the Czech Philharmonic and is its main concert venue. In architectural terms, the Rudolfinum building is one of the most beautiful sights seeing of Prague in the Neo-Renaissance style.

P1070244.JPG
All architectural styles are represented in Prague. But the least, of course, is the oldest one. This is a Romanesque style.
This is the Rotunda of the Holy Cross from the 12th century at the crossroads of Konviktská and Karoliny Světlé streets, Prague 1, Old Town.

Troja Chateau is one of the many chateaux lying on the territory of Prague. It is located near the zoo in the district called Troja. The building is in Baroque style. The construction took place between 1679 and 1685. At present, the castle hosts an art exhibitions.

Wonderful entry!

The view of Charles Bridge from the Legie Bridge. Besides Charles Bridge you can see on this photo some interesting buildings. For example, Straka Academy (a neo-baroque building, which is the seat of the Government of the Czech Republic), Kramář's Villa (the villa of the first Czechoslovak Prime Minister, Karel Kramář. Nowadays it is the official residence of the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic)

Today’s picture captures City theatre in Znojmo. It is about 7 years old, taken in March, and comes from my “geocaching phase” collection. I have never been inside. There was hidden geocache near this theatre. I have no idea it this geocache is still there.

Today I'm sharing a photo we took from the clock tower. This view is looking down to see St Nicholas Church. We went during autumn so you can see the leaves were a bit yellow but its a nice touch for the city. Not many tourists when were there which was a plenty experience.

At first, I would like to thank you, Tomas, for featuring my photo today. Today’s picture captures chapel. This chapel is standing on the hill upon the city Dolni Kounice. It can look so great during sunset. Every year there is this event happening - wine festival - (every year on 5th May).

That was well deserved! Thank you so much for your contribution!

The thing which you "must see" in Kroměříž is Flower Garden. I was there during autumn so not so many flowers this time, but still nice place to have a walk without any crowd, so all park belongs to you :)
IMGP0632.JPG

I have to visit that place at some point! Thank you so much for sharing with all of us. Tomas

I think that this place is worth to see not only during season :)

When you find yourself next to these spiers going into the sky, you start to feel small. You can stand for a long time with your head back to the top and look at the details. Until the neck starts to hurt.
And suddenly a thought comes to mind. Or maybe it looks like a fantastic spaceship?)
Prague view

I loved stumbling upon the John Lennon wall in Prague, a vibrant rainbow on the gloomy winter day when I was visiting. The street was tucked away from the major tourist attractions and the space was filled with the voice of a young musician. This Beatles-inspired graffiti wall has been a means for artists to air their voice for decades.

St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague is another great pearl of Europe, it is a place admired for many aspects. One of the best examples of Gothic architecture in the Czech Republic is also its important and large church.

Beautiful inside out! Great image.

For today's post I have prepared a photo from the southern part of Bohemia. In the picture we can see the Švihov water castle. Švihov is built in Gothic style. The first mention of the castle dates from 1375. During the Hussite wars, it was besieged by the Hussite army.

very beautiful scenery @czechglobalhosts

Again! Completely unrelated photography! I guess even running your reputation down does not help! Very shameful! I have seen it before though and know that sooner or later you will just get away, bitter, beaten down, without any achievement or success! Tomas

Great pic! I will be back with my photos soon. Just wanted to make something on my blog. Also I will be in Czech Republik this weekend in Lednice, hope to have some time to get some coll pictures :)

This is absolutely amazing and also great photography

Hey dear @czechglobalhosts, I'm a big fan of your contests / activities since long. I never visited in your homeland so I can't participate in this contest or any other. But still I love your stuff and regularly visit to your page. Thanks for providing quality stuff, all the best!

Interesting post.

As the sun shines through the stained glass windows, the walls of St Vitus Cathedral come to life in a symphony of colors.

Hi! Unfortunately, your entry is missing a minimum 30-word description to qualify for an upvote. Tomas

Oh bummer! I never really paid attention to the thirty words minimum until you you mentioned it. It’s a little like putting IKEA furniture together and not reading the instructions. Then you wake up in the middle of the night with your ass on the floor after your bed has collapsed because you did it all wrong. I’ll be more careful next time. Come to think of it, I might just resubmit the picture at a later date because it is one of my all-time favorites. Anyway, thanks for hosting this fun contest and all the best to you 🙂

Wow. Just. Wow.

It was awosome @czechglobalhosts
that is such a cute little thing in a beautiful place, it definitely adds life to the photo...

If you place this image one more time in my contest I will run your reputation down to ZERO! Take this as a friendly advice!

I photographed this picture in Prague last year. It is a detail of the TV tower. There you can watch the climbing babies without face. This group of sculptures is a work of art by the famous czech artist David Cerny.

282-updated.jpg

Tv Tower its the tallest building in the Czech capital Prague, once dubbed the second ugliest building in the world,i cant say its cute, but for me its more like UFO thing extraordinary .
i was waiting for my Blablacar that day and by a coincidence i was in that area and took this shot for a memory :)

Sometimes winter nights in Prague are dark and dark, humidity is in the air or, if necessary, in the lens. There are rays of light in the fog and all judicial citizens are locked in the warmth of their houses ...

Great call Wes! Thank you so much!

You're welcome Tomas. This is a great postcard too. I think during my visit to Prauge I will buy one and send it home to the family.
