Hello fellow Steemians,
I hope you are all having a great weekend! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.
The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.
Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.
There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @jpphotography:
This is just another beautiful street in Prague. I love the architecture in Prague, it is a mix of European architecture from the past centuries and merges into beautiful buildings all over the city.

I rewarded @jpphotography winning entry with some extra upvote. Feel free to visit her blog and check out some of her other photos.

Amazing narrow streets. They are drawn to us from history. Now these are not built - only wide avenues, and they are crowded. It's always interesting to walk around small streets. Especially in an unfamiliar city. It is difficult to guess what is waiting for you around the corner? This adds a sense of adventure.
You just gotta love them.... And I do so let's have it featured as an entry for today's edition of Prague/Czech Republic photo sharing challenge......
The Lennon Wall is a wall in Prague which is located at Velkopřevorské náměstí, Malá Strana. It is covered with John Lennon inspired graffiti and pieces of lyrics from Beatles' songs. It’s impressive to see.
FOCUSED ON LOVE ♥
PS. Are you going to make any special St. Valentine - related contest, Tomas? :)
Hmmmm! Good suggestion... Let me think about that!
Photo of the interior (nave) of the impressive St. Vitus Cathedral. In the image it can be seen that the construction has the classical elements of the Gothic religious style, such as vaulted arches, the zigzag pattern in the ceiling and the light given by many windows.
)
Low angle close-up of the Dancing House, arguably the most famous modern piece of architecture in Prague. Its concept was inspired by the dance skills of the famous film couple – the stone tower symbolizes Fred Astaire and the glass tower, his partner Ginger Rogers. Image taken in October 2014.
Wow, so happy to see my photo featured!
This photo is from Prague as well, but I have no idea where exactly I captured it, I think it was at some kind of shopping centre in the centre of Prague. However, I loved the beautiful architecture of this place!

Well deserved mate!
For today entry, I have prepared night photo of Charles Bridge. Its construction started in 1357. There are 30 mostly baroque statues and statuaries situated on the Charles Bridge. It is one of most visited places in Prague. There is rumor, that eggs were added during its construction in order to make bridge stronger.
Yep, the eggs:)
Here is my contribution on this quiet Sunday morning in the USA.
This is a picture of Cesky Krumlov. A view of the castle from the street.
Thank you for running this blog. It is a wonderful opportunity to revisit your beautiful country.
Beautiful picture! Thank you so much for your submission. Tomas
Hi Tomas,
Thank you for the personal response. I appreciate it. You live in a beautiful country. There is a lot of turmoil in Europe at the moment, and my own country (France) is losing its identity. It was heart-warming to see the care with which the spirit, the culture, the art, the architecture of the Czech Republic seem to be cherished and preserved.
Petrin tower is located on the top of hill Petrin. The height is 60 meters and from the top you can see the city of Prague.
Wow! Petrin Tower on fire!
Great pic, thank you for sharing!
Yesterday I visited the village of Holašovice about 15 km from České Budějovice. This village is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Around the village square there are preserved buildings in the style of the so-called Selský Barok. Every summer, the Selský festival is held here.
And another interesting thing. In 2008, the HOLAŠOVICKÝ STONEHENGE stone ring was built on one private property. It is open to the public at a moderate fee, and visitors can try out how earth and space energies work.
This is one of the first pictures in Prague I have ever taken. It was shot on my old Sony Ericson phone, but I think it still turned out great, the weather was a bit stormy/rainy so that's why the sky looks so darkish! It's a church on the way to Petřín, don't know the exact name unfortunately:(
The famous Prague Castle seen from the opposite side of the bridge, built in the IX century, is one of the architectural wonders of the city considered the largest ancient castle in the world.
Classic view of Prague. On the photo you can see Prague Castle with St. Vitus Cathedral as main dominant. But in addition you can see here for example, Malá Strana Bridge Tower, St. Nicholas Church on Malá Strana and St. George's Basilica. Can you find it all?
I think I am blind:)
This is the what I think is the back of the St. Nicholas Church in Malá Strana. I accidentally found it one day while I was walking around trying to get to prague castle. It was a really beautiful building i wish i would have taken more pictures of it. I also wish I would have done inside because it turns out it has beautiful paintings inside of it.
Yeah, that is my problem too.... I hardly ever find the time or make an effort to go inside beautiful buildings.... Something I need to work on...
This is one of the typical, beautiful and historical streets you can find in Prague. The architecture is colorful and it all feels like a small village at times. Therefore you can always find little quiet places in a bustling capital like Prague.
I love it, thank you for sharing. Tomas
Only 90 kilometers from Prague is village called Troskotovice and old castle Trosky. If you are scared of heights I would not go there. But on the other hand if you want to see small piece of the Czech republic from the bird perspective than it is highly recommended!
Mělník is a town in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic (about 35 km away from Prague). What can you do in Mělník? Admire the historic center and take a walk along the river during a quiet afternoon.
Bike ride around Český Ráj. This forest is on the way down from a castle Valdštejn. Everywhere just rocks, trees, blueberries... It is a perfect trip for weekends.

Hello @czechglobalhosts :)
Český Krumlov ~ Vltava River ~
Visiting this magical spot was a highlight of our trip to the Czech Republic! We decided to rent a car one day and drive to Český Krumlov from Prague. The drive was beautiful and the castle was pretty empty which made it feel surreal! There were beautiful views in every direction. This is just one of those views :)

haha I had no idea. Thanks for the reply. I will try to edit it.
Back inside the Prague Castle, I had to the share the last plaque which I love the most. Because its in an awkward angle I had to take it sideways. The colours and the symbol on this reminded me of an old game I used to play and brings back memories of how nice to no worry about work and enjoy play and holiday.

The Prague Castle seen from the riverbank on a sunny spring day. Prague Castle is one of the great tourist attractions of the city of Prague. It is a small citadel formed by a set of palaces connected by courtyards and small streets built on a hill. The Prague people proudly declare that it is the largest ancient castle in the world.

Sorry about that, it will not happen again.
I am originally from Prague but my most favourite place in Czech Republic is Trutnov.
