Hello fellow Steemians,
I hope you are all having a great day! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.
The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.
Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.
There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @extremejogging:
Hi Tomas. This is a photo I took in Prague quite a few year ago... today I picture sharing a beer with you in that pub to say thank you. I've hit a 1000 followers today and mentioned you in the "thanks you" post. I would not still be on this platform if it was not for your great support and awesome challenges. Thank you my friend! Cheers Jaco.

At Prague Castle he looks well from different places in Prague. I personally prefer it from Petřínské sady, where there are many places where the castle can be seen. Here is one attempt in the autumn of last year.
This image would have made an amazing postcard. I do not make any of those but it sure will shine on the front of today´s edition:)......
Postcards are sadly dying out, everyone uploads photos to social networks or sends mms.
Sad, but true.
Me and my friends are still sending postcards each other ;)
Front view of the Breda Department Store, one of the most iconic landmarks of the Silesian city of Opava. Built as early as in 1898, Breda is the oldest department store in the Czech Republic as well as in all Central Europe. Sadly, after some lengthy law suits between previous owners, this majestic building and one of the symbols of the city is now abandoned and for sale :(
This shot i took at Vysehrad at Prague, not far from Basilica of St. Paul and St. Peter. I was there just before spring with my friend @barushe and she was my guide at that days..:) I was there just for few days and my tour de Prague was just one day so i dont have time to see all what amazing Prague offer.
Oh, I just love it up there....
When you decide to go out hiking in the Czech Republic you will find these symbols on the trees. I think it is pretty unique, at least I have not seen it in any other countries I have visited. It's always a combination of a colored strip between two white strips. You can see these signs painted on trees following the path you've decided to go on. That's how you know that you are not lost!

Awesome, I remember these so well from my travels to Poland and Czech Republic. I remember connecting these routes to form 15-20km trail runs in a town called Szklarska Poręba. Brings back epic memories... thanks for sharing. Keep exploring... @extremejogging
Here is one from Poland:
Good stuff guys! I use those when cycling all the time.
Water Tower at Královské Vinohrady, Korunní Street, Prague 10. Built in 1882 in Neo-Renaissance style. At that time, the utility buildings also built beautiful ... It served her purpose until 1962. It was then rebuilt to flats.
Would you like to live in such a tower? I do!
Asi uspořádáme nějaký sraz v Praze a @krakonos nás protáhne Prahou, kterou neznáme ;)
Proč ne... Už jsem to v minulosti pro pár známých i udělal.
To do ! The Charles Bridge is one of the most beautiful bridges in Prague. Reserved for pedestrians, it connects two beautiful areas that are the old town and Mala Strana.
Cross from the old town and at the end turn left and follow the bank to the next bridge to reach the island facing it. Access to the island is via the lift bridge or stairs.
You will arrive in a small quiet park where you can admire the city from another angle in the company of ducks, swans and other nutria!
Day and night when all monuments are illuminated, the view is unique.
love to read it. ameen
This photo was taken on the Hluboká Castle, what is a historic château located in Hluboká nad Vltavou in the south of Bohemia. Most people know it from the front side, but the back side is also beautiful.
Ahoj!
I drive the car every morning on the way to work and every day I have a view of the Iron Mountains. Last week I made the picture at by smartphone. The photo is taken above the Střemošnice village. On the site there is a triangular baroque column of the Holy Trinity from the first half of the 18th century.
Beautiful Czech countryside.
You think absinthe and Prague somehow goes well together? I agree
The perhaps most well-known absinthe bar in the world is located in the centre of Prague: The “Absintherie”. There’s not just one, but two of these absinthe bars not too far away from each other. You can taste many different absinthe brands there as well as buy absinthe bottles there. They even offer a fairly wide range of absinthe accessories such as absinthe spoons, or an absinthe fountain.
Nice fire 😀🔥
Yes Its very Cool way to do it
Boží hrob is located on the edge of the town of Slaný, in the district of Kladno. The chapel, built in 1665, is located on the top of the wooded hill of Okrouhlík (330 m above sea level). The building is considered the oldest memorial of its kind in the Czech Republic.
The Monastery in Slovene or Emausy is a temple with an original tower and two intersecting spiers. The history of the monastery is more than 650 years old. It was founded already in 1347 by Charles the 4th, thus in honor of which the famous Charles Bridge was named. The monastery belonged to the Benedictine Order, but worship services were conducted in Old Slavonic by Croatian monks. This was a unique fact at the time, since usually divine services were conducted in those days in Latin, especially Charles, besides being a Czech king was also the emperor of the Holy Roman Empire. But beyond that, according to his mother, Karl was also a Slavic mother, and he wanted to eliminate the contradictions of the Western and Eastern Christian churches. Hence the second name of the monastery - "On the Slovens", which has now passed to the surrounding area. Well, the name Emmauskogo gone, because that at the consecration of the monastery read the head of the Bible, where it was told about the meeting of Jesus with the disciples on the way to Emmaus.
The most famous of the Olomouc Baroque Fountains is the one that represents the legendary founder of the city, Julius Caesar. Situated in the Upper Square (Horní Námesti), just opposite side of the Holy Trinity Column, it consists of a sculpture of a rider on a rearing horse, along with two reclining male figures holding cartouches.
The historic centre of Prague was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992. The grotto-like monument features life-size characters from Julius Zeyer's works carved in white marble, emerging from the rocks. Monument to Julius Zeyer, 1841-1901, Czech writer, playwright and Romantic poet, 1931, by Josef Mauder, in Chotkovy Sady or the Chotek Gardens, the first public park in Prague, opened 1833, Prague, Czech Republic.
Great! I love those beer 🍺 pictures :-)

sitting in a brewery, enjoying a plate full of the best meat and cheeses and of course with 🍻.
In the photo is a hidden secret where we had exactly been.
You know that yesterday I had a question about whether I could compete, because I am an amateur photographer and I barely have a cell phone with a good camera for my photos, now that I see this I confirm that his initiative goes beyond rewarding the good moments captured, but also the enthusiasm and the determination to do things too. Excellent work supporting people! Thank you!
Oh absolutely, anybody can compete:)....
Prague has a modern system of transport with new trams that coexists with the old trams. In this image you can see the contrast between the modern tram and the buildings from the XIX century that are at the background.
Well, we @travelingstories have just posted our photo of the day and guess where it was... In the beautiful city of Pague, more precisely, in the impressive Old Town Square! :D
I thought this building was really cool. I loved the way the yellow contrasted with the blue. It was next to a church that was buy the apartment I stayed in while in Prague. It was so eye catching.
This shot was taken off the Charles Bridge during the winter time while there is still the christmas markets in the old city. I was amazed with the amounts of swans swimming in the river. The view of the city from this bridge is incredible as it gives you a 360 degree view of the city and can even see the castle.
Nad Pražský orloj
I made this photo with Prague Clock Tower. From the tower opens a view of the Old Square. It is very difficult to find a free place by the window, so many tourists crowd in the tower.
During one of my visits to the Brno city, i was relaxing on the wall to enjoy the beautiful view of the city. This pigeon landed very close and i believe it came directly to welcome me to Brno😊. I accepted its welcome message by saying thank you with this shot.
Wow delicious, can you give me little its :)

The grounds of the botanical garden are situated on the right bank of the Vltava river near Troja Castle and the Prague Zoo and has a an area of about 50 ha. The most famous part is the Fata Morgana greenhouse, but the garden also includes an outdoor exhibition including vineyards and Japanese gardens and this beautiful fountain.
