Hello fellow steemians!
Welcome to my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - European Thursday- where the winner of the weekly round will be able to participate for the total of 150 SBD! Today you can participate by submitting your personal pictures from your travels to a continent of Europe.

Your entries need to be submitted by the midnight of Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only one picture to be submitted for a daily photo challenge. The rule number one is to use only personal images. Ten winning photos will receive an upvote from me from which I will pick one winner that will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts.
The winner of daily challenge then competes against winners from other continental challenges of the respective week to receive the price of 15 SBD. That will be decided by you based on the dollar value of upvotes of my winning post announcement. The winning weekly picture then automatically enters other rounds for the price of 150 SBD in total.
Please see the winner of Asian Sunday, Australian Monday, Tuesday of Antarctica and world's oceans and African Wednesday to give them your support if you like their image to be the one winning the weekly price and entering the other stages of the 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge. You can vote for them by upvoting their winner announcement posts below:
7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Asian Sunday – winner announcement!
@bypaul Asian Sunday entry:
This summer I traveled through southeast Asia for 7 weeks. Three of these weeks I was traveling Myanmar with my sister (to be seen in pic). To get to our next destination we had to take a boat with the locals and drive a whole day over Inle Lake. Eventhough it looks like a river we are actually racing over a huge lake covered by plants with only this small path open for the boats. The clouds you see in the back of the picture got us soaked about an hour later.
7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Australian Monday – winner announcement!
@brulliant Australian Monday entry:
Sunset with the view for Sydney skyscrappers. Pic was taken in December, when it's summertime in Australia. And it wasn't possible to swim in the ocean , couse it's a season of poison jellyfishes there).
@thelifeofjord Tuesday of Antarctica and the world’s oceans entry:
A local man fishing in the ocean in Sri Lanka. I tried to time it to shoot through the waves, unfortunately that didn't stop my camera from getting wet!
7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – African Wednesday – winner announcement!
@extremejogging African Wednesday entry:
I took the photo of this African buffalo or Cape buffalo at Addo Elephant National Reserve in South Africa. It is clear why it is one of the 'Big Five'... the beast was looking right towards me.

Ill try my luck one more time:
I took this picture this summer while hiking solo for 2 days in the austrian alps. After hiking up to 3000 meters I had to decline again to get to the mountain hut where I was planning to spend the night. On the next day as the morning mists rose I saw this beautiful waterfall across the valey. Luckily I had a big zoom with me to get this shot right.
Shot with an Olympus OMD EM-10 Mark II 1/1000 Sek. f/5,6 150 mm
I recommend clicking right and selecting display graphic to show in full resolution!
I love it! What an image submission by you. Thank you so much for sharing. Please stay tuned for the winner announcement coming soon.
Great short - where in Austria did you take it? Do you have more impressions from Austria to share? Visit my blog for my trip reports about Austria :) Sry for the spam!
I took this shot of the beautiful ottoman style white houses near the Berat Castle, Albania in 2010. It's known to be one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities and also on the UNESCO world heritage list; also called the White City.
Very nice @deepakagarwal... added to bucketlist. ;)
What a great image to enter the challenge. Thank you for sharing! The winner will be announced soon in the separate post.
This picture doesn't need any explanation. I stayed at the hotel next to the bridge with a view right on it
What a stunning image for the challenge. Stay tuned for the winner announcement coming soon. Tomas
This pic was taken in Norway, on the mountain over the Tromso city. Norway is a country of nothern beauty, rock mountains and fjords. It was a summertime so i was lucky with sunny weather and great views.
Wow, another beautiful image by you!
A picture which combines the core attractions of my beautiful homecountry Austria: Marvelous mountains, huge woods and lakes filled with crystal-clear spring water are just some of the many beautiful presents from mother nature.
Simply beautiful. Stay tuned for the winner announcement coming shortly.
I will, thanks for the upvote :) Glad you enjoyed it! Not to far from what your country looks like!
Nice picture! Where is it taken? Will you go running there :-D
Schiederweiher in Hinterstoder, Upper Austria! It is around an hour drive away - so runnig is not ideal there! However you can go skiing nearby. So if I can I will make a winter shot from there :)
Really nice. I'll put it on my list of places to see before I die ;-)
You definetly should :)
Venice did not present me nice weather when I was there in winter, but still I enjoyed walking around a famous square.
Nice one @crazy-daisy, it was also rainy when I visited Venice even though it was in the middle of Summer! ;)
Ahahaha) Venice is unpredictable)
I just love Venice! Thank you so much for sharing your experience there. Tomas
Picture of a sunset taken in a small village situated in the promontory of Gargano Puglia Italy. The name was Foce Varano (part of a village called Ischitella).
What a beautiful submission for the challenge. Stay tuned for the winner announcement. Tomas
After a short walk along the river you come to the Briksdal Glacier. Sadly this glacier has been seen a significant reduction in size recently.
Simply beautiful. Your image is a great entry for the challenge. Stay tuned for the winner announcement coming shortly.
A couple peeks out from a doorway while waiting for something, or someone, on a street in Florence, Italy. I love street photography and for some reason, whenever I travel to Italy, I get better images.
Something little different from all the other entries. I like that. The winner announcement is coming soon. Stay tuned. Tomas
Today I would like to contribute a image taken with a drone. It shows a "Hallig", a small island in the Watten Sea. The Wadden Sea is in the southerneast of the North Sea and a UNESCO World Heritage and is unique because of its ebb and flow. You can walk to the island Oland from the coast in about 2 hours.
There is also a video on dtube about the island.
Have a great evening everyone! Shoutout to @czechglobalhosts for the contest.
Thank you so much for your great submission. Stay tuned for the winner announcement. Tomas
Hey Tomas, thanks a lot. Have a great weekend!
Today I show a photo of the Church La Sagrada Familia, the unfinished master piece of the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí. The church is located in Barcelona.
Hello, thank you so much for submission and participation. I picked other images to be in top ten due to big competition today. Have a great day.
Walking the streets of 'ancient' Europe. What an experience walking down a street constructed 7th century BC in the town called Pompeii, Italy. It was, of course, wiped out in the blink of an eye in AD 79 when the volcano Mount Vesuvius erupted.
Hello, thank you so much for submission and participation. I picked other images to be in top ten due to big competition today. Have a great day.
A light house on Capo Zafferano, Sicily. Neglected place, great view and athmosphere. No filtr, just original colors.

🌳 Hike with me #2: Awesome nature in Vienna - the Wilhelminenberg! 🇦🇹
PS: It is actually this picture just without the text!
Hi, it would be great if you can place just a picture of your choice and add the text of 30 to 50 words to describe your photo as outlined in the rules of the competition to make it the same everyone. Thanks ever so much for understanding. Tomas
