Hello fellow Steemians,
I hope you are all having a great weekend! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.
The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.
Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.
There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @nenio:
Statue of Charles IV King of Bohemia and Emperador of the Holy Roman Empire, under his rule the bridge over the Vltava river (that now bears his name) was built. The statue is located at the east side of the bridge, it was made in 1848 by Ernst Julius Hähnel. The surrounded buildings shows different religious architectonic styles.

Petrin Tower
This tower is on top of a hill overlooking the castle district and old town area of Prague. Built on the Petrin Hill overlooking Prague is inspired by the Eiffel Tower and uses the same steel construction. It is visible from most of the city and is lighted up at night making it a beautiful sight.
I just love to go up there every other year or so. What a wonderful place for a leisure walk with great views of the city. This sure will make a great entry to start this week's contest. Thank you. Tomas
One of the beautiful old houses found in the historic center of Krnov. Located at the foothills of the Jeseniky Mountains in the Moravian - Silesian Region of the Czech Republic, the town of Krnov is home to about 24,000 people and it is famous for proucing Kofola, one of the most popular drinks in the country.
Such a cool looking house. The architecture is beautiful. I wouldnt mind living there. lol
Designed by the Croatian-Czech architect Vlado Milunić in cooperation with the famous Canadian-American architect Frank Gehry, the Dancing House is one of the most popular and photographed pieces of modern architecture in Prague. The house was built in 1996 and it is located on the Rasin Embankment.
I took this photo in Prague in August, as the sun began to set. We were walking on the long river Vltava and I immortalized the Manesuv Most, with the Prague Castle and the Cathedral of San Vito.
Old time square, the hottest August we can remember for years. Fortunately, a city truck decides to go and refresh tourists, and he decides to give everyone another pearl among the wonders of the city.
One of the must see while you're in Prague, even though you probably won't be overly impressed. I recommend coming when it's less crowded if this is high on your list. Lot of people taking photos near the wall and live music happening near the wall too. This place is too crowded most of the time. Always best to go early morning if you want it to yourself. Back in the day it was used to write the quotes and messages and phrases for freedom and now its called Lennon wall.
I love all the colors and the message of the Lennon Wall. I would love to visit it.
Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul, Brno
Amazing architecture! Definitely a hidden jewel in Europe, of you get a chance to spend some time in Brno make sure you take your time and enjoy this gorgeous place!
Beautiful Gothic Church of Our Lady before Týn Prague Old Town Square, early in the morning! Just amazing architecture everywhere . When you arrive you don’t know where to look first. The buildings are beautiful and the pale colours such details on.
Cathedral of St. Bartholomew, a Gothic church in Pilsen's main square. This is a must see location when visiting Pilzen. The photographs that I garnered here turned out extraordinarily well. St. Bartholomew's really imposes itself upon both the geography and the heart and soul of the central city square. The spire soaring into blue skies above made for picture perfect photographs!
Cesky Krumlov
So much to do in this historical center which sits in the nearly circular bend of the river. If you go up to the Castle. you can get a nice view of the bend as well as seeing the whole historical center. There is plenty to keep you busy including shops and restaurants and several churches. The architecture is outstanding!
I got up at 5am to walk to Charles Bridge just to get a photo of the sunrise. It was magical. Very nice view from the bridge. And the Charles Bridge itself does not need to be described - you need to see it with your own eyes.
Before visiting Český Krumlov, I had no idea how exceptionally beautiful this place could be. It is one of the Czech Republic’s finest medieval sites and its Old Town is a UNESCO-designated World Heritage Site. Old Town was bustling with people but it was so exciting! There is nothing quite like wandering through Český Krumlov.
Guard at Prague Castle
Look at that incredibly blue sky over Prague's castle! It was on a beautiful sunny day in May a few years ago that I took this photo in Czech Republic.
It's time to go back there soon :-)
St. Vitus Cathedral (Chram svateho Vita)
Unmissable in Prague, this cathedral, locked in the castle, is astonishing by its architecture, its colors. Its interior visit allows you to appreciate very luminous stained glass windows, if by chance, the day of your visit the sun shines with all these fires. The interior architecture is just as amazing as the exterior.
The most important cathedral in the Czech Republic. And equally the most stunning the most breathtaking and the most beautiful! A must see place for all Gothic lovers. You will just stand there in a complete awe. I go there often and I always look up and admire the absolute masterpiece. If you go to Prague you must visit the Prague Castle and you'll see the St Vitus Cathedral, too, it's a part of the castle complex.
I do admire your efforts towards stopping plagiarism on steemit.
Well done..
Letna Park
Very large beer garden that is set on top of a hill that overlooks Prague. Tough walk up but the cheap beer was well worth it. There unfortunately aren’t many food options and what there is really isn’t good. Not a lunch place but rather a good drinking location.
Historical place.
