Hello fellow Steemians,

I hope you are all having a great weekend! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.

The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.

Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.

There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @pharmacygirl:

The Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul is located on the Petrov hill in the centre of the city of Brno in the Czech Republic. It is a national cultural monument and one of the most important pieces of architecture in South Moravia.

If you are going to visit the Great America quarry. So visit also the village of Morinka, which is nearby. Above this village stands Menhir from which is a beautiful view of the surroundings. For views, you can sit in a concrete armchair next to Menhir.

Wow! That is such a wonderful shot and the place that I have never seen before! This will definitely make a great entrance for today's contest! Thank you. Tomas

Thanks, this is a magical place and excelling especially at sunset and sunrise.

Night photo of a water wheel in Prague, it is located at the area called Čertovka (Devil's Channel), also called Little Prague Venice. It is situated at Malá Strana (or Lesser Town). In ancient time, it used to be many water mills in this area.

The castle is simply the symbol of Prague. The view overlooking Prague is breathtaking. Yes, there is plenty to see and do in Prague, day and night, but you can not miss the castle and St. Vitus Cathedral, which is the jewel in this area.

Prague Castle.

Stunning image!

Old Town Square. If you are interested in history, then buy an excursion from representatives of various travel agencies. If the story is not interesting, then you can just walk around the square, it is beautiful and unique. It attracts to itself. Staromestskaya area of tourists enjoys the same popularity as the Charles Bridge. Probably, these are the two most famous tourist destinations that every tourist visits in Prague.

View of the Church of Our Lady, St. Jerome and Slavonic patrons. It usually says "The Slavs" (Na Slovanech). Taken from Palacky Square, New Town, Praha 2 . The church dates from the time of Karal IV. But the Roof ... The Effect of the Ametic Bombardment of Prague March 25, 1945. Renovated in the modern style of the 1950s. It does not look bad at all.

Hi! What a great entry! However, enter only one image for the purpose of the contest. Thank you!

Near Pohansko castle can be found this old “house”. I do not know if it used to be a house or what was the use of it, so all I can say is: it is an archeological site of Pohansko. I thought it is interesting, probably more than Pohansko castle. You can also see a wild beast on the picture. Just kidding, it is my dog Remy. :)

What a wonderful place! Thank you for sharing with all of us here on Steemit!

Beskydy7.jpg
Štramberk Castle

This was founded in the late 13th century after the division of the domains belonging to the Hückeswagen clan. In the 16th century the castle had already been abandoned and was in dilapidated condition. Today all that remains are the fortifications and gothic castle tower called Trúba, which rises above the city of Štramberk and serves as an observation platform with a beautiful view of the Beskydy Mountains.

We even get inside now:)

The Revoluce sculpture made with metal keys in the Franz Kafka square. It symbolizes de 20 years that have passed since the Velvet Revolution. It amazed me. I took it with a 35mm film and a Minolta camera

Another important Czech sculptor is Jaroslav Róna. His most significant public statues are focused on Prague native Franz Kafka and his stories. This little square in the middle of Prague's Dusni Street is what the city's famous native, writer Franz Kafka, probably saw each time he looked out of his window. The historic Jewish Quarter in Prague is where Kafka spent most of his life - and often features in his novels and short stories.

Blue view of Brno! I loved this picture immediately after taking it! The sky, the builduings, the atmosphere of the photo, almost rainy, almost sunny, all in one :) I finally had the opportunity to take pictures with my new camera! :) Can't wait to take more like this! :)

Old Town Hall in the city centre of Brno is one of the most famous and also most visited place by tourists in the Moravian metropole. Inside the gate, which is closed through night, you might see the Brno Dragon hanging above your head.
Ahoj!

It was a beautiful sunny day in Kutna Hora in the Czech Republic. We have visited the famous ossuary and two cathedrals. Also, there was a local food festival going on. Yummy!:)

I just love that place! This is a definitely must visit for any tourist to make a great day out of Prague.

After the US/UK/FR strike in Syria last night, I am sending a statue called Death - Vanitas. It is located in the Convent of St Agnes of Bohemia in Prague, now a museum with fabulous medieval and early Renaissance art. I'll admit it is not very cheerful, but it is to remind us of what is really important in life. Let us beware of vanity and arrogance, whether it is the arrogance of individuals or nations that foster conflicts. A thought to all that have suffered last night. Ignorance is one of the factors that has enabled last night to happen. @czechglobalhosts is doing his part in getting to know the uniqueness of a culture that is not our own, so much appreciation to him. Let's continue getting to know one another and work for peace.

You can see this view from the observation tower which is on the top of the mountain. This mountais has a very interesting name to pronounce - Smrk. I took this photo last year during winter in Jizera Mountains.

praga old times.jpg

Walking through Prague old times I have taken pictures of the everyday life of the place, people walking through these beautiful streets, either walking or their jobs or homes. The streets of Prague make me want to walk everywhere until I can know every corner of this wonderful place.

One of the most beautiful parks in Prague, mainly after the reconstruction of the lakes. My favourite place in the town. Very nice park for a walk on a nice day . Trams terminate here so easy to get to from town centre . Have not been here since 1968, but I noticed the preserved T-34 Tank is long gone. great place královská obora stromovka.

photography is very good

Thanks for sharing a good post bro.

In summer 2009, I've visited Prague for the first time. This pic was taken at around 11pm, after super hot day full of sightseeing. I remember that cool air in the underground felt soo refreshing. It was a weird mixture of refreshment and fatigue I could sense in people waiting for the train as well. After the whole hot day in offices, finally taking the metro and going home.

My finger got in the way so here's the cropped version. I like the original one more though - because of the effect those lines on the ceiling are causing.
