Hello fellow Steemians,

I hope you are all having a great day! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.

The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.

Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.

There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @tmayd:

Prague, and especially its historical center is a very dense city (although the narrow streets and passageways contribute to its charm), and it felt good to catch a breath of air at the Strahov Monastery garden. Here I am peeking through the vineyards at the city and beyond.

Thank you for your submissions. Have a great day and keep on Steeming!

Prague - old town in capital city of Czech Republic is one of the most beautiful places I have visited. I am not a great fan of architecture or old monuments but this place - I was simply amazed. There is sooo many amazing motives to photograph, It is imposible to resits its beauty. You feel the history there and a hard work of the greatest artists and architects. I dont need to know the name of this building - I just admire its beauty!

What a great close up image! It will make a perfect cover for today´s edition! Have a good one. Tomas

Nice! I am happy You liked it! Thanks!

In the Czech Republic there is the tradition of Easter eggs as in most part of Central Europe. In this photo it can be seen how some tree branches are decorated with ribbons of bright colors and Easter eggs. This photo was taken at a restaurant for tourists in the “Lesser Quarter” (Malá Strana), near Čertovka in Prague.

This shoot i took from Petrinska Rozhledna ( Petřín Lookout Tower) about 10 days ago when i was visit Prague on my holiday in Czech Republic. On the way up you have beat 299 steps, but it definitely worth that. View its amazing and next to tower its mirror maze, where you ill also find a lot of fun.

Amazing view! Thanks ever so much for your entry Viktor!

Other street in Mala Strana
It is one of the oldest districts of Prague with the Hradčany and Staré Město (the Old Town) which frame it respectively to the west and east.

I just have realized that I am probably the only regular contributor to this contest who did not post a photo of Prague Orloj, yet. So today I have decided to change this so there is my photo of Orloj, unfortunately it was taken only on my mobile phone at night so the quality is poor.

Favorite Prague swans and views of Manesuv bridge. The bridge got its name in honor of the Czech artist Joseph Manes.
It is 10 bridge over Vltava, if you count downstream. Where swans-the area is Small-the Country, on the other side of the bridge Hradčany square. The bridge is 186 meters long and 15.5 meters wide.
Trams run on the bridge. There are paths for pedestrians.
The supports are decorated with sculptures from the life of fishermen and swimmers.

Hluboka Castle.JPG

Hluboka Castle

Not sure the cutoff time so if it's past I'll post this again tomorrow. Last October my wife and I took our 30 year anniversary trip starting in Lisbon, going through southern Spain to Madrid, flying to Munich, and cutting through Austria and the Czech Republic on our way to Germany. Along the way we stopped at this castle called Hluboka Castle south of Prague. The sunlight highlighted the castle against a stormy background.

Your first entry and you have done very well! Thank you so much!

Honor guard at the Presidential Palace in Prague Castle. Service is carried by the guardians of the Presidential Guard. Change of guard of honor occurs every hour. This process looks especially solemn at the presidential palace: once a day, exactly noon, to the music of a military orchestra

The entrance to Prague Castel always fascinates me.... Have a great day!

Cheb2.jpg

Cheb

Another photo of the beautiful city of Cheb, but this time from its medieval square, where your eyes will immediately fall on the symbol of the city: Špalíček. It is a picturesque group of eleven medieval merchant houses of the thirteenth century (gothic style).

During my last scouting trip, I found a hidden gem. The gem is a village called Zubrnice in the middle of the Central Bohemian Mountains. There is a lively open-air museum, where there are interesting buildings around the village. There are several water mills and a railway station from 1890.

Many hidden gems scattered around the country! Thank you for showing us Zubrnice.

i was walking around the city and found this great monument which is worth a visit .
its the Resistance Flag Monument Statue, symbolising the second resistance movement to the Nazi aggression and control of Czechoslovakia from 1938 to 1945
its located in Park Klarov, near the Malostranska metro station

Autumn in Kroměříž can be also nice. I've already added photo from this place, but today another point of view of Flower Garden. Though not some many flowers during this time. I'm really bad in describing places, just prefer to show pictures ;)

The house with number 53 is placed in the corner of Charle's square in Třebíč. It is known as Malovaný dům (Painted house) and is covered with sgraffiti. The house was built by Venetian merchant Francesco Calligardi at the end of the 16th century.
There is a gallery and ceremonial hall today. Since 2017, there is also a Kaiserpanorama stereoscope.

The old buildings from Prague are very inspiring! It makes you wonder about the way life was lived there a few decades or centuries ago. I encourage tourists to visit the Old Town having a guide around. It's so much better to understand what you're looking at!

Early morning on Hradčany Square. The food stalls are getting ready to feed the visitors to the Prague Castle. In the background, you see the Salmovský Palace, one of the buildings administered by the National Gallery where exhibitions are presented to the public.

I took this picture from a Bridge in the near of the famous Carlsbridge at our last stay at Prague. Additional to the beautiful buildings in the back you see a restaurant in the front called "Grosetto Marina Ristorante". Yeah i know it is not the typical, tasty czech food but after a few days it is also nice to enjoy some good italian-style food. And of course this is an amazing location for a dinner in the evening...

Kostel sv. Josefa.
St. John's Church Josef in the Czech Republic is part of the Capuchin monastery, founded in 1630 by Gerhard of Questenberg. Between 1636 and 1653, builder Melichar Mayer built a church in late Renaissance style in addition to the monastery. On the front wall is fresco St. Joseph, the Pentecostal Lord. Underneath, above the entrance to the church, Gerhard of Questenberg.
